The branches in the forest were intertwined, blocking out the sunlight, so the light was relatively dim. It was just past four o'clock and it seemed gloomy.
Frog Ridge was originally a mediocre tourist attraction in H City. Few people from other places knew about this scenic spot. When they came to H City, they would go to a few more famous places. However, people from this city and several neighboring provinces and cities liked to drive together to climb mountains during holidays. However, due to various factors in the past two years, these more remote attractions have almost been deserted and no one has been seen for years.
Liam Xia and Jasper Luo parked the car in a parking lot opened up by the scenic area at the foot of the mountain. Following Ethan Ye's telephone instructions, they found the valley next to the stream.
The entire mountain was eerily silent; even the "crunching" sound of shoes stepping on fallen leaves was amplified many times. Human voices were the only sound besides footsteps, which made people feel a little creepy.
Ethan Ye saw two people coming down the slope, waved, and then stood up by holding on to the tree.
