There was no candlelight in the room. The atmosphere in the dim room was ambiguous, and the chirping of sparrows outside the window had stopped at some point.
Sabrina leaned against the desk, her collar wet and messy, with a lifelike blue phoenix on it. She lowered her eyebrows and carefully traced the outline of Harper's lips with her eyes.
She loosely placed her left hand around Harper, while her right hand gently stroked the back of her head.
