Nathan Lu's grandmother is a noble lady who is nearly 70 years old but still has an elegant posture and outstanding temperament. Grandma Lu became a widow when she was less than 40 years old. After her husband passed away, she left the United States and returned to China with her son.

However, her only son and daughter-in-law passed away in a car accident 20 years ago. Fortunately, she has two grandsons, Nathan Lu and Jacob Lu. The grandchildren have always been filial and obedient. Therefore, this weather-beaten old woman does not show many signs of the passage of time on her face. She always smiles and talks to people, with a kind and amiable look.

But if Nathan Lu and Jacob Lu were to say, their grandmother was actually an old naughty girl who played by unconventional means and had a lot of evil ideas in her mind.

For example, the so-called blind date party arranged for Nathan Lu.

Nathan Lu is only 28 years old now. At such a young age, he is the general manager of a multinational company. Born into a wealthy family, he is also handsome and well-known as a diamond bachelor in the city. However, all his close friends know that he is gay and has been pursuing someone for six years. The key is that he has not succeeded yet!

As early as five years ago, when Nathan Lu returned from studying in the UK, he came out to Grandma Lu and confessed that he had fallen in love with a man. He said that sooner or later he would catch up with him and bring him back. Grandma Lu didn't understand it at first but didn't interfere.

Later, she tacitly accepted it. However, even she didn't expect that the perfect grandson in her eyes would end up completely heartbroken after six years of unrequited love. Grandma Lu couldn't bear to see her grandson depressed and trapped in the pain of a broken heart, so she started to make arrangements and sent out invitations to heroes in her social circle, vowing to help her precious grandson find his destined other half.

Of course, some things are actually due to Grandma Lu thinking too much. It is true that Nathan Lu was heartbroken, but it is not the case that he was depressed and trapped in the pain of heartbreak. Even he himself found it incredible, except for the anger when he first found out that Alexander Qi was cheating on him. Yes, it was anger and nothing else. He was disappointed that Alexander Qi married someone else, and that person was his cousin.

After that moment of disappointment, he didn't feel much. Thinking back on the past six years, he suddenly realized that it was not so much that he liked Alexander Qi to the point that he had to be with him, but more because of his unyielding character. From childhood to adulthood, he had never failed in anything he had determined. This was the first time that Alexander Qi had suffered a big setback.

However, he was too lazy to tell his relatives and friends who looked at him with sympathy and pity about his state of mind. As for the blind date arranged by Grandma Lu to help him get over the shadow of his broken heart, he did not want to refuse the old lady's kindness.

The Lu family's high-end villa in the suburbs is rarely so lively. Most of the visitors are young talents and celebrities in the city, both men and women. Regarding this point, Nathan Lu has seriously emphasized to Grandma Lu that he likes men. Grandma Lu said cheerfully that it never hurts to get to know more people, whether they are boys or girls, so she took him to introduce them one by one, exaggerating to others how outstanding her grandson is, and trying hard to sell him like offering a treasure.

Nathan Lu felt uncomfortable because of her behavior, and couldn't help but regret agreeing to attend this damn blind date party. Fortunately, Jacob Lu had foresight. When he saw that the situation was not right, he found an excuse to slip away, leaving him alone to be caught by Grandma Lu, and he couldn't leave even if he wanted to.

Fortunately, Grandma Lu was not crazy enough to openly tell others that this was for the purpose of choosing a partner for her grandson, but instead she held a birthday party in the name of her own birthday, although in fact most people already knew it tacitly.

Nathan Lu, feeling extremely bored, was thinking about how to get out of this situation. His eyes unconsciously swept over and he saw Edward Yao standing in the corner and whispering with a pretty girl.

Nathan Lu was surprised that Edward Yao was also here. Thinking that he should have no friendship with his grandmother, he was led over by Grandma Lu's arm. Grandma Lu introduced them to each other with a smile. Of course, the focus of the introduction was the blushing girl next to Edward Yao, who was the granddaughter of an old friend of hers. As for Edward Yao... she didn't know him either.

But the girl whispered: "He is my cousin."

Nathan Lu smiled and extended his hand to Edward Yao: "Boss Yao, nice to see you again."

The corners of Edward Yao's mouth twitched slightly. She stretched out her hand and shook his hand back. She felt that Nathan Lu deliberately increased his strength, but she endured her temper and did not shake off his hand on the spot.

Grandma Lu touched Nathan Lu's arm and asked him, "Do you know each other?"

Nathan Lu looked at Edward Yao and answered her: "Business partner." And one-night stand partner.

Edward Yao curled his lips secretly. He didn't want to cooperate with Lai Song at all.

They chatted for a while, and when Grandma Lu saw that Nathan Lu was not interested in the girl, she took him somewhere else to introduce someone to someone else.

The little girl's eyes were glued to Nathan Lu's back, and Edward Yao frowned and reminded her: "He is not suitable for you, don't think about it."

After Nathan Lu finally got to know Grandma Lu and got rid of everyone, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. He turned around and saw that there was no one left where Edward Yao had originally stood. He shook his head and hid outside while no one was paying attention, so as to avoid being spotted by Grandma again.

Edward Yao and the girl were getting in the car and about to leave. Nathan Lu didn't hesitate, he walked over, called them and asked Edward Yao: "The party hasn't ended yet, you're leaving?"

Edward Yao pointed at the girl next to him and said, "It's too late. I'll take her home."

"Regarding what we said last time, Lesong and LK..."

Edward Yao was speechless and quickly interrupted him: "Mr. Lu, today is your grandmother's birthday, can you please not talk about this?"

Nathan Lu smiled and said, "How about Mr. Yao please arrange a time so we can talk slowly?"

Edward Yao didn't comment or pay any more attention to him. He took the girl into the car and wanted to leave. Unfortunately, the car wouldn't start.

After trying several times, there was still no response. Nathan Lu knocked on the car window. Edward Yao had no choice but to lower the window. The other party bent down, looked at the dark dial, and asked him: "Can't start the engine?"

"It's probably broken."

"You can't fix the car?"

"Can you?" Edward Yao asked him back.

Nathan Lu shrugged and said, "Shall I take you back?"

Edward Yao opened the car door and got out, standing up to face him: "That's not necessary, just lend me a car, I'll return it to you in two days and then ask someone to pick up my own car."

"I only have one car here," Nathan Lu said, "and I have to go back to the city."

When they got into Nathan Lu's car, Edward Yao couldn't help asking him, "You left your grandmother's birthday party early? You don't live here?"

"She won't care. I live in an apartment in the city, close to the company." Nathan Lu answered casually.

After that, no one spoke again until they entered the city and sent the little girl home. When they saw her waving to Edward Yao and entering the corridor, Nathan Lu asked with a smile: "Why are you also going to my grandma's birthday party?"

Edward Yao snorted coldly: "Don't you know what your grandma is planning?"

"so?"

"I came here with Xiaohui."

Nathan Lu laughed: "Are you still afraid that I will kidnap your cousin?"

"Does your grandmother know that you like men?" Edward Yao asked him back.

"Know."

"Then she still..."

"She thought I was attracted to women, maybe because she thought that I had been hurt by the emotional trauma of not being able to get a man before, and that might have changed my S3xual orientation."

...

Nathan Lu turned his head to look at Edward Yao: "What do you like about Alexander Qi?"

Edward Yao didn't say anything, staring blankly at the dazzling city night view outside the car window for a long time, so long that Nathan Lu thought he couldn't speak anymore, then he slowly opened his mouth: "Listen to him playing the piano."

... Nathan Lu wanted to say that, as far as he knew, Alexander Qi probably couldn't play the piano at all, no matter if it was the piano, violin or any other instrument. However, when the words came to his lips, he thought about it and let it go. Even he himself knew Alexander Qi in a way that he didn't originally think, so Edward Yao must be about the same.

"What about you?" Edward Yao suddenly turned to look at him: "What do you like about him?"

Nathan Lu held the steering wheel with one hand and tapped his chin with the other. He thought for a moment and said with a smile, "I wanted to conquer him, but unfortunately I failed."

...It is indeed a lack of communication.

Edward Yao has few relatives in China and lives alone. Nathan Lu drove the car to the bottom of the apartment building he specified and was surprised to find that it was not far from his residence. Seeing Edward Yao unbuckled his seat belt and was about to get out of the car, he called him again and smiled ambiguously: "Mr. Yao, I'm taking you back. Why don't you invite me upstairs for a cup of tea?"

Edward Yao looked at him, as if evaluating the deep meaning of his words. After a while, she suddenly asked, "You didn't fall in love with me just because you slept with me once, did you?"

... This time it was Nathan Lu's turn to be speechless.

"Is not it?"

"I thought you would be very reluctant to mention that," Nathan Lu said with a smile, "but where do you get the confidence to think that I will fall in love with you just because we slept together once?"

"Isn't that what you mean by pestering me so much?"

Facing Edward Yao's cold eyes, Nathan Lu also put aside his cynical attitude and said, "Boss Yao, to be honest, I do want to show my courtesy to you, but it's for the agency rights of LK Yacht."

Edward Yao said: "Regarding that, I advise you to give up the idea as soon as possible."

"Apart from the high-sounding reason you mentioned, are there any other reasons?"

"I don't want to have too much interaction with you. When I see you, I will unconsciously think of Alexander Qi, which makes me very uncomfortable." Edward Yao spoke the truth. Of course, the reason for her discomfort was that when she saw him, she would unconsciously think of the time when she was suppressed by him, but Edward Yao didn't want to say it.

Nathan Lu was somewhat shocked: "I really thought you weren't such a person who couldn't separate public and private life."

Edward Yao didn't say anything else, pushed open the car door and got out.

Nathan Lu watched him until he entered the apartment and the elevator door closed. Then he sighed helplessly, started the car and left.
