When Dean Wu saw Avery Mo bringing people with him, he immediately became bolder.
He ran to Sophia Gu and said, "Princess, we took in these refugees with good intentions, but they wanted to tie us up. They are so heartless and ungrateful. You must teach them a lesson."
For what the refugees did just now, she did have reason to punish them, but she couldn't do that. Doing so would only intensify the conflict between her and the refugees, which was not what she wanted.
She was not starving and did not want to stand on the moral high ground to accuse and criticize those who had lost their homes, experienced life and death, and were now surrounded by the fear of hunger, even though she was as angry as Dean Wu.
"They did something wrong, but we can't do this. Hurting each other is not the purpose of our rescue. Dean Wu should not forget our original intention."
