Even Asher himself felt that it was inappropriate to say this, because there was a sense of questioning in the question.
Who should he question? Miles? Even if he had noticed something was wrong a long time ago, what obligation did he have to speak out? He didn't even need a reason, he could just say he didn't want to say it or it had nothing to do with him.
He could even imagine how Miles would react when he heard such words, how he would smile, and how he would speak in a drawn-out and nonchalant tone...
Either way it's too sarcastic and will only make people feel worse.
So Asher lowered his eyes, and before Miles could speak, he used the back of his hand to push his arm away, saying, "Please move aside, don't block me like that. Next time, don't pick a time when I'm not in a good mood to send it to me, after all, I'm an unreasonable person."
