Such heavy rain stopped quietly overnight.

The next morning, the entire Jinshui and Qionglin Town were brightly lit.

Oliver's temples were a little wet because she had slept uneasily last night. At this moment, she was still half asleep and half awake, but she vaguely heard some movement in the corridor. She struggled to wake up, pressed her sore shoulders, and asked in a hoarse voice.

"Hey, Jaxon, what's all the noise outside!"

Jaxon hurried in from outside and rolled up the bed curtains for Oliver. Looking at the young master who looked very sleepy, he said, "Master! It's strange. There were only a few green lotuses in our flower pond before, but now they have spread out in a large area. The water in the pond is overflowing."

Oliver paused while drinking tea, and was very surprised. "What?"

So he put down the teacup, ignored Jaxon's attempt to stop him, and walked out putting on his clothes.

There were unusual movements in the courtyard last night, and he thought it was an illusion caused by his long-term illness, but it seems that something is wrong.

So, he suddenly opened the door, and saw the hazy sky suddenly appearing before his eyes. Above the spring pond in the middle of the courtyard, a light mist was lingering, vaguely reflecting the lotus flowers in the pond that had suddenly grown tall and majestic overnight.

The mist in the air woke Oliver up.

The young master was speechless immediately.

His clothes were still in disarray, but he just stared at the courtyard and the faint half rainbow hidden in the mist of the small pond.

After a whole morning, the old housekeeper of the Su Mansion was still wondering why the gate of the young master's courtyard was not open yet? He didn't want to eat.

Just as he was about to go forward and knock on the door, he saw the courtyard's housekeeper, Fuzi, sticking his head out slyly.

The old butler blew his beard and glared, then reached out and grabbed Jaxon's big ears.

"Hey, you little ba5tards, how can you take care of the young master? You are so lazy. It's noon and you still don't come to work!"

The old butler is a close confidant of Master Su who started his business from scratch together. This time he stays in the mansion because the master has entrusted his beloved youngest son to the old butler and feels at ease asking him to take care of him.

Jaxon didn't dare to make the old man angry, "Hey, Master Jiang, please stop, my ears hurt, oh, the young master has something to say!"

After hearing this, the old man let go of his hand and listened to the boy rubbing his ears while passing on the message.

"The young master said that it had been raining heavily in recent days and it finally cleared up. He wanted to follow the ancient customs and close the door for seven days to worship the rain god. Except for a few maids and servants in the courtyard, no one else was allowed to enter."

After hearing this, Master Jiang frowned and confirmed again and again that the young master was fine. Then he gave up and told Jaxon to bring the food in.

"Take good care of the young master, otherwise when the master comes back in a few days, he will do more than just twist your ears." Jaxon nodded and bowed, and with a smile asked someone to come and take the meal back.

Before he reached the courtyard corridor, the young butler, whose ears were still aching, saw their young master squatting by the pool, looking down, then moving up, with his entire right arm submerged in the water.

Jaxon was so frightened that his fur stood on end. He immediately dropped the food box and shouted.

"Master, don't be depressed. You haven't passed the imperial examination yet, got married and had children!"

"......"

Finally, by the pond, Jaxon looked at Oliver in silence. The young master was eating lotus pods with his wet sleeves lifted. He was eating with great enthusiasm and even gave way to him.

"Eat it, I just caught it, it's plump and crispy."

Jaxon sucked his teeth, "I'm scared to death."

As for why the pond suddenly became so full of life overnight, everyone checked for the entire morning but found nothing except a few sweet lotus pods.

Jaxon suddenly had an idea and said that it was the old Taoist priest who appeared that day. Oliver did not want to make the matter known to everyone, so he waited seven days to open the gate of the courtyard. The lotus flowers in the pond were just growing well after the rain in the past few days.

Several little girls who had seen enough of the lotus flowers went their separate ways to tidy up the yard that was scattered after the rain. Jaxon, chewing a lotus pod with his cheeks puffed out, also went into the house to prepare the meal.

Only Oliver was left standing by the pond, looking at the swaying green lotus for a long time. He had never seen such vibrant greenery in the mansion. The mist around the pond had long been dispersed by the sunlight, and the deep water was also shaded by layers of lotus leaves.

"Master, it's time to eat."

Oliver responded and walked back to the house, but the moment he turned around, his whole body paused. He saw a black shadow flash by in the pool in his peripheral vision, but when he looked carefully, it disappeared again.

At night, it was a cool night in early spring, with the moon hanging in the sky.

The moon was reflected in the shallow pool in the courtyard, the water was sparkling, and the surroundings were foggy again.

The thick fog gradually diffused into the young master's room through the window lattice, as if it had enveloped the entire courtyard. The boy on night watch was sleeping soundly, and there was not even the sound of cicadas around.

Oliver just felt drowsy and it seemed like he got up, but not yet. He was between dream and wakefulness. He had to keep walking forward. There was heavy fog all around him.

But even though it was hazy, he knew that this was not the Su Mansion. The Su Mansion had never had such lush and luxuriant plants and flowers.

I don't know where I've strayed into. How should I put it? The air is sweet and a little fishy. The further I go, the more vegetation there is around me, but somehow, there's a faint smell of burnt food...

Oliver couldn't find the exit, but she was not afraid and simply walked along the path made by the flowers and trees until she gradually heard the sound of "splashing" water.

He pushed aside the flowers and leaned forward to look. In front of him was the vague sight of a hot spring pool with steam rising from it. It was very comfortable to look at.

Oliver had rarely been out of Qionglin Town, so he had never seen a place like this, quiet and misty, with fog like hail. He was not very clear-headed, so he walked forward in a daze, taking off his clothes while going into the pool, subconsciously wanting to soak in this new hot spring water.

The warm pool water gradually reached above the waist, making people breathe a sigh of relief.

However, Oliver slowly moved his feet underwater. Why was the bottom of the pool so slippery? He lowered his head and looked underwater.

However, he saw that the bottom of the pool under his feet was moving slowly, as rough and black as a piece of extremely thick dead wood.

There were also some fine and dense touches on the delicate soles of the young master's feet, like, like, scales!

Oliver was startled and ran towards the shore. At the same time, his shouting startled something at the bottom of the pond, and the "dead wood" with fine scales instantly shrank back into the deep water.

Without even having time to put on clothes, Oliver ran only a few steps before suddenly stepping on empty air.

After a moment of weightlessness, the young master who was sleeping on the bed in the Su Mansion took a breath, suddenly sat up, and broke out in a cold sweat.

Oliver opened her eyes and saw the familiar bed in front of her. She reached out and touched her body, and found her arms and legs were there. Only then did she feel at ease.

It seems that I just had a strange dream.

He took a few breaths and felt a little thirsty. He called the servant a few times, but no one answered. He had no choice but to get out of bed, pick up the teacup and take a few sips of cold tea.

These sips of tea went down his throat and cooled his heels. Just as he was about to go back to sleep, Oliver suddenly twitched his nose. He sniffed carefully and found that there was a sweet smell of burnt food in the room.

"Jaxon, Jaxon?" Oliver called a few times, but the servant, who usually slept lightly, did not wake up and even snored in the side room.

So Oliver put on a coat, opened the door and went to the courtyard alone. It was foggy tonight, and he followed the smell and arrived at the pond in front of the courtyard under the corridor.

The lotus flowers in the pond were swaying in all directions. Oliver thought of the lush vegetation in his dream. For no apparent reason, his heart tightened and he wanted to look into the pond.

With the help of the flickering moonlight, he subconsciously tightened his clothes, nervously bent down slightly to look into the pool, and when he looked closely, he saw a dark shadow faintly sinking at the bottom of the pool!

Oliver took a deep breath and was about to call for help when the moonlight finally broke through the dark clouds and illuminated the bottom of the pool.

It turned out to be a large black fish that was vaguely visible. The outline of the fish was not clear under the cover of the lotus leaves, but it was not too far off.

Oliver was about to relax when he wondered, when did they start raising fish in their pond? And it was a black fish.

It was late at night and everyone was asleep, but he was brave enough to stay at home, so he picked up a dry stick, cut through the lotus leaves on the water and tried to poke the big black fish.

Sure enough, the fish at the bottom of the pond started to swim, circled in the pond, and then floated motionless in the pond.

The man and the fish sat facing each other motionlessly. Oliver simply picked up a lotus seed nearby to feed the fish.

The young man was wearing a snow-white fur coat, and he was smiling as he whispered under the moonlight, "Where did you get that big black fish? Come and eat it."

Then, Oliver's hand, which was still holding the lotus seeds, suddenly froze.

It was just because the black fish in the pond blinked at Oliver and then disappeared into the water.

"Ah! The fish, the fish blinked!"

The maids sleeping in the lower room were all awakened by the shout. The one in the lead, Zhan'er, wrapped in a cotton coat and holding a lantern, supported Oliver who had fallen to the ground and shouted to Jaxon, "Where are you! Where could you be at this time?" How could the young master run out on his own in the cold night and get frightened? How could he be on duty all night?

Jaxon was not pulled out of bed until someone called him. He was acting abnormally tonight, as if he had taken a love drug. He was in a daze and didn't wake up until he was in the courtyard and was awakened by the cold wind.

"Hey, Master, what happened?"

Oliver pointed to the pond and said, "There, there is a fish, and it's blinking at me!"

Jaxon said "Ah?" "Master, there isn't even a single fish in our pond, where did the fish come from?"

The maidservant Zhan'er also tried to tie up Oliver's loose collar, "Master, fish don't blink."

Oliver insisted that he saw it, and then when the cold wind blown, he started coughing again. Jaxon quickly took him back to the warm room.

Finally, everyone lit candles and torches and checked the pond for a long time, but didn't see any fish, so they gave up.

Oliver started coughing and felt a sharp pain in her chest. She no longer cared about the black fish or the white fish. She was quickly fed some ginseng soup by the maid Zhan'er and lay on the couch, drowsy.

Jaxon sat outside Oliver's bed, not daring to go back to sleep, for fear that the young master would call him in the middle of the night and he would not be able to wake up.

But strangely, after not long, he could not hold on any longer and fell outside the tent inexplicably, sleeping soundly with his legs spread out.

After everyone had rested, in the quiet lotus pond in the courtyard, a dark figure slowly emerged from the pond, and walked straight towards Oliver's room under the cover of thick fog. The wet footprints spread all the way, but no one could see clearly in the fog.

The figure was tall and majestic. He opened his palm with a strand of hair in it. He looked at the "primer" in his palm, then looked at the young man who was sleeping soundly on the bed. Finally, he raised his head and spat out a broken bead as if it had been struck by lightning.

As soon as the bead appeared, the surrounding mist began to swirl, and a bright light filled the room.

The figure held a bead in his mouth and lowered his head to k!ss the young man on the bed.

Just as he was about to put it on, the young master snorted and scratched his face dishonestly.

The figure tilted his head slightly, changing the angle.

However, Oliver suddenly kicked forward in his sleep.

Then the figure changed its angle again.

Just as it was about to be attached, Oliver turned sideways and muttered and cursed in his sleep, "Fish! Stare at me!"

"......"

The figure froze for a long time, and finally lost his patience, reached out and held down Oliver, who was moving his legs around, pinched his chin, and suddenly lowered his head towards his pouting mouth...

The water in the pond outside the house rippled, and the light in the room inside the house gradually faded.
