It was a suffocating afternoon. Mia didn't know what would happen next. She just felt scared, but of what? She doesn't know. She sat there with her head bowed, in a daze. Later, she heard the neighbor calling the children on the street to eat. She looked up and saw that it was getting dark. She thought that her parents-in-law and her husband were going home soon, but she hadn't made dinner yet, so she hurriedly got up and went into the kitchen.
Three people who went to drink wine with relatives in Shendian at dark came back. Mia's father-in-law and husband saw that the shop was open and started to close the door. The mother-in-law walked straight into the kitchen with an angry look on her face and scolded Mia who was cooking:
"It's already dark, why don't you go up to the door?"
Mia was trembling and wanted to say that she had forgotten to open the door panel, but she did not dare to say such a thing. Mother-in-law continued to blame Mia:
"What time is it? Still cooking."
