The goshawk landed, and the little red bird on its back looked around curiously, then turned its head to meet the gaze of its older brother, and jumped up and down to be held by his brother.
Adrian reached out and grabbed her dirty brother, and blew on him with disgust, blowing away the dust and stray hair on the fur. "What's going on?"
Feng Er sat slumped in the palm of his hand, flapping his little wings, and chirping about how he was kidnapped by a bad woman, and how he was tossed around in a cage. He opened his eyes and saw a few bad old men who only fed him raw millet. It was so tragic that anyone who heard it would cry.
"Ahhh!" Elliot saw Feng Er coming back and shouted to jump onto the other hand, but his short dragon claws didn't have much bounce power. He jumped into the air and scratched his four claws. Suddenly, mist appeared under his feet and he stayed in the air for a moment. The little dragon was very surprised that he could stay in the air! "Ahhh?" Just as he was feeling proud, the mist suddenly dissipated and the whole dragon fell straight down.
Adrian quickly picked up the little dragon and stuffed it into her sleeve, while she held her brother up and looked him over. The sturdy little phoenix was not injured, but its belly was flat. It sat in its brother's palm with its two paws stretched out, tilting its neck and opening its mouth to ask for food.
