The Yunzhou Palace was built during the reign of Emperor Wu. Danque had only seen the surface of the palace and did not know that there was an underground palace. The long corridor was built by digging into the mountain without any joints. The young Danque lit up the twelve peacock candlesticks with a flick of his fingers. The warm candlelight illuminated the hall like daylight, making it impossible for the emperor, who was running barefoot with a bowl of cherries in his arms, to hide.
