Max had been dealing with issues among the twelve tribes for a few days. He finally had some free time and realized that it was the beginning of the month again, when the "moon is high on the eyebrow" was about to occur.
But Jake has been elusive recently. He left the Demon Palace before dawn and returned to Nanke Palace very late.
Whenever Max asked him where he was going, he would answer that he was going to practice. Whenever Max wanted to follow him, Jake would say nothing and just stare at him coldly until he gave up.
He also tried sending a little demon to follow him secretly, and also tried directly releasing a wisp of demonic energy to chase him, but all ended in failure.
The former was discovered by Ache before leaving the Demon Palace, but Ache had a malicious intention and walked far away to another place before shaking off the little demon, causing the little demon to come back and complain to him in tears. The latter was detected by Ache's sword spirit, who mercilessly chopped it apart with a single sword.
