Brandon Sheng'ou's heartbeat was transmitted through the close physical contact, and in a trance it seemed to gradually overlap with my heartbeat and become one.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry after hearing what he said. I had no objection to enduring this world with him, but he was the only one who could make his moving confession of surviving a catastrophe sound like coercion.

Even though I know that he might not mean that, and there is a 99% chance that he doesn't mean that, I still feel that what he just said can be taken as his proposal.

As the one being proposed to, it seemed like I only had one answer to give him.

"I do." I held the hand on my waist and promised without any burden that I would never die before him.
