After being shocked, Tony Wei didn't ask me anything. Maybe he felt that asking anything was inappropriate.
After that, Leo Shen didn't come to work for several days. When I called him, he just said that he was busy with the lawsuit and would take a month off. His tone was much calmer than that day when he was in a life-or-death situation. He didn't mention Tony Wei, nor did he reveal any intention to resign.
I asked him when the trial would begin, and he said it would be in two weeks. I calculated the time and made an appointment to go and sit in on the trial then.
He thanked me again and said softly, "I'm sorry for causing you trouble, Brother Feng."
"What nonsense! Why should I apologize for this?" I knew it was not easy for him to be alone, so I added, "If you need any help, please let me know. There is nothing to worry about between us."
