The short hand points to 3, which was just past three in the afternoon. The window opened in the room, the spring breeze moved the curtains, and the sunlight poured along the cracks in the window, spreading a thin layer of gold on the floor.
The air was filled with comforting warm breath.
Cindy woke up from a deep sleep. Lucy was not by her side. She rolled over lazily and lay on the pillow. The slipped quilt was hard to hide, and the white skin showed fine hickeys almost everywhere.
The door was half opened by the wind, and Lucy’s voice faintly floated in from outside.
Cindy listened for a moment, took out his pajamas and put them on, and went out lightly.
