At 1:15 pm, Liam Liang personally drove Nate Ning back to school because Nate Ning "had already made an appointment with Zach Zhou to reserve a seat together."

Liam Liang had graduated from D University more than three years ago, and he had come back several times during that time, so he was quite familiar with the roads on campus. He stopped on the lane closest to the Sixth Teaching Building, and asked Nate Ning to come closer, so that he could carefully check the gauze behind Nate Ning's ear.

The tape and gauze stuck to Nate Ning's skin, which was very unsightly, but fortuNate Ningly there was no blood mark.

Nate Ning was gently pressed on the head by Liam Liang. He could not see Liam Liang's expression, but felt Liam Liang's fingers touching his neck, which made him feel itchy. Liam Liang did not speak for a long time. Nate Ning was a little nervous waiting and asked: "It's not cracked, right?"

"No," Liam Liang loosened his hand, letting Nate Ning free, and then put the wound care instructions that he had asked the secretary to print out into Nate Ning's book, zipped up Nate Ning's schoolbag, and then said, "Go ahead. Text me after class."

Nate Ning agreed readily, opened the door and got out of the car. He walked slowly along the path.

Zach Zhou was waiting for him downstairs. Seeing the large gauze behind Nate Ning's ear, he asked him worriedly, "Yi, Nate Ning, are you feeling better?"

"Much better," Nate Ning said, "but the doctor was afraid that my wound would split, so he asked me to stay quiet for a while."

The two of them walked slowly towards the stairs. The Introduction to Plasma Physics class was scheduled in the large classroom on the third floor. When Nate Ning and Kyle Kong entered, the classroom was empty, so they chose two best seats in the first row.

After a while, more and more people came into the classroom, and classmates who were familiar with Nate Ning came over to ask about his injuries.

Nate Ning is an honest man, he told the truth: "Yesterday I went to a nightclub with Zach Zhou, the FXVCLUB, and was recognized by an enemy and beaten with a wine bottle."

However, not a single classmate believed what Nate Ning said. Everyone showed contemptuous expressions and accused Nate Ning of bragging.

"He must have been chased by that mad dog in the woods yesterday and fell down," a female classmate said confidently, "My classmate in the next dorm also encountered the same thing."

Everyone expressed their approval of this speculation and began to collectively attack Nate Ning for being vain. He was chased by a dog and fell down, but he said he went to a nightclub and was followed by his enemies. It was simply a fantasy, like a childish elementary school student who claimed to be a 17-year-old heir to an ancient castle.

Nate Ning was extremely dissatisfied and said, "Who would fall behind their ears when wrestling? Zach Zhou can testify for me."

"Yes, it's true," Zach Zhou stood firmly on Nate Ning's side and gestured, "A tattooed bald man, a whole arm, only tattooed a big dragon!"

Unexpectedly, after Zach Zhou finished testifying, his classmates became even less convinced and walked back to their seats, shaking their heads.

Professor Zhu always arrives early. He entered the classroom ten minutes early and saw Nate Ning and Zach Zhou, so he came over to say hello. As he approached, he saw Nate Ning's injury and asked him in surprise: "Xiao Ning, what's wrong with you?"

Nate Ning was immersed in the anger of not being trusted, and said to the professor angrily: "I was chased by a dog in the woods yesterday and fell down."

Professor Zhu looked at him sympathetically and patted his shoulder: "I have heard a little about this incident. I heard that the dog carrying rabies ran very fast. FortuNate Ningly, it didn't bite anyone, otherwise it would be dangerous."

Nate Ning nodded speechlessly.

It was already past four o'clock when the introduction get out of class ended. Nate Ning and Zach Zhou rushed forward to ask Professor Zhu a few questions, and then they slowly went downstairs with a few classmates to eat in the cafeteria closest to the teaching building.

Zach Zhou said Nate Ning needed to rest, and took the initiative to line up with several other classmates to get food for Nate Ning. Nate Ning sat alone at the dining table and lowered his head to send a message to Liam Liang: "get out of class is over, let's have dinner with Zach Zhou in the fourth canteen."

Liam Liang didn't know what kind of video conference he was having, and he replied as if he was distracted: "Okay."

Then there was another one: "I ended my meeting early and will pick you up soon."

Nate Ning replied "OK" to Liam Liang, and boredly opened the afternoon introduction lecture notes that he had just saved on his phone, wanting to review them. Suddenly, he heard someone behind him calling his name: "Ning, Yi, Wei."

The tone of the voice was so familiar that Nate Ning knew who it was without turning around.

Seeing that Nate Ning didn't say anything, Kyle Kong walked around to him again, holding a bowl of mung bean soup in his hand, looking down at Nate Ning, and said, "I heard that your ear was bitten by a dog."

He was half a head taller than Nate Ning, had a hairstyle that was considered fashionable at the time, dressed very elegantly, had fair skin, but still darker than Nate Ning, had big eyes, but an ugly shape, and looked weird because of his small pupils.

"I heard that you chased anyone you saw in the woods last night." Nate Ning looked up at Kyle Kong for a few seconds, smiled at him, and said.

Kyle Kong was stunned for a few seconds when he heard this, and then he gradually reacted and understood what Nate Ning meant. His whole face turned red, and he shouted at Nate Ning: "What do you mean, Nate Ning? You have the guts to say it again!"

Considering Kyle Kong's personality, body shape, the degree of bulging eyeballs, and his IQ level which was extremely disproportioNate Ning to that of his father, Professor  Ken Shenfeng, Nate Ning reasonably suspected that he had severe hyperthyroidism and had never sought medical treatment.

However, Nate Ning was injured and needed to rest. He did not want to have any more conflicts with Kyle Kong, so he did not fight again and lowered his head to continue reading his lecture notes.

Kyle Kong was left aside by Nate Ning, and his frustration turned into anger. He looked down and saw the mung bean soup he had just served. Evil thoughts suddenly came to his mind, and he twisted his hand and poured the mung bean soup directly onto Nate Ning's injured ear.

Nate Ning noticed Kyle Kong's action and quickly ducked. Kyle Kong missed the soup, and it splashed onto the long dining table and chairs behind Nate Ning.

Several students passing by slowed down their pace and glanced sideways at the two people in the stalemate.

Nate Ning was stunned for a moment, frowned and stepped back a little, then looked down. There were a few drops of splashed soup on his white T-shirt and the chair beside his legs.

Zach Zhou came over with two plates in his hand, saw Kyle Kong and the empty bowl in his hand, and saw the table full of soup, he immediately understood and asked Kyle Kong: "What are you doing!"

Nate Ning felt a little pain behind his ear, but he ignored it and looked at Kyle Kong coldly. Kyle Kong also looked at him, and the situation between them was tense.

"---What's going on?" A middle-aged woman's voice came. Zach Zhou turned around and saw a familiar face, as if he had seen it somewhere.

She was carrying a bag of buns, and when she saw Kyle Kong, her frown relaxed: "Xiao Zhuo?"

Kyle Kong's expression immediately changed, and he looked a little aggrieved, saying, "Auntie, I slipped and spilled the soup, almost spilling it on this classmate."

Zach Zhou remembered that this woman seemed to be a teacher from the School of Humanities. Her surname was Luke. She had taught them a required liberal arts course in their freshman year. It seemed that she came to the cafeteria to buy the limited edition meat buns that went on sale at 5 pm.

"Oh," Teacher Luke glanced at Nate Ning and said, "I thought it was a big deal."

"He did it on purpose," Nate Ning suddenly stood up and said to Teacher Luke, "Kyle Kong wanted to splash mung bean soup on my wound, but he missed."

"Don't spit blood on me," Kyle Kong had something to lean on, and his back was straight.

Then he said to Dean Luke, "Auntie, I really just slipped."

Nate Ning sneered and jokingly repeated Kyle Kong's words: "It slipped."

Nate Ning had the mean look that Kyle Kong hated the most, and now he showed a disdainful expression, which made Kyle Kong's already hot brain quickly filled with blood. He clenched his fists, and all the new and old grudges came up, and he wanted to punch Nate Ning in the face.

"Kyle Kong, you are childish, but this is the cafeteria, are you acting, acting, acting out a palace fight?" Zach Zhou spoke up for Nate Ning.

A female classmate who witnessed the whole incident also said to Kyle Kong: "I saw you splash the mung bean soup on the injured classmate. Besides, your feet will slip when you talk while standing. You should change your shoes."

After listening to what the female student said, Teacher Luke looked at the expressions of Nate Ning and Kyle Kong, and probably knew what was going on. However, her husband and Professor  Ken were good friends, and Kyle Kong grew up under her care, so she was somewhat protective, so she said, "Okay, everyone be more tolerant. You are college students, is it necessary to quarrel in public over such a small matter?"

But Nate Ning refused to fall for her trick: "Teacher, did you see how this happened? Why are you saying that I am petty?"

... Teacher Luke originally intended to persuade them to reconcile, but he was bluntly contradicted by this undergraduate student. He felt uncomfortable, cleared his throat, and asked Nate Ning in an authoritative manner: "Student, which department are you from?"

Nate Ning raised his eyebrows and said nothing, but there was a little more disdain in his eyes.

"Well, I'll record it," she realized that asking this question had a bad influence, and added, "Teacher, please see if there is any way to mediate."

Nate Ning remained silent, and she continued, "It's not a good idea for you and Kyle Kong to remain in a stalemate like this."

"Forget it, Auntie," Kyle Kong calmed down and softened his tone, "I'll apologize. Just consider it my fault. I'm sorry."

Teacher Luke looked at Kyle Kong with a lot of hesitation in her eyes. Just as she was about to speak to smooth things over, Kyle Kong turned around and said to her, "Auntie, let me help you carry the dumplings and go home with you. My dad video-called me yesterday and mentioned my uncle..."

Kyle Kong and Teacher Luke left, and the onlookers' gazes all disappeared.

Nate Ning was holding back a grudge and said thank you to the girl next to him. He didn't have much appetite at first, but when he saw Zach Zhou had brought him a plate of his favorite dishes, he didn't want to waste food and Zach Zhou's efforts in queuing, so he sat down without saying a word and started eating.

After eating a few bites, Zach Zhou suddenly called him: "Nate Ning, Nate Ning."

Nate Ning raised her head and saw Zach Zhou's frightened look. Zach Zhou pointed at the right side of Nate Ning's face and said, "Your gauze..."

"What?" Nate Ning then felt that the place wrapped in gauze was itchy, painful and hot. He reached out and touched the gauze, and his hand was covered in blood.

He immediately lost his appetite and said to Zach Zhou, "I'll go wash my hands first." He took the plate and emptied it. The edge of the white plastic plate was stained with blood red. People passing by Nate Ning were looking at his blood-stained gauze. Nate Ning didn't care. He walked to the sink, turned on the water, washed his hands, and then walked back.

Zach Zhou also finished eating. He put down his plate and walked to Nate Ning, saying, "Yi, Nate Ning, don't be afraid. Let's go to the school hospital and rebandage the wound."

Nate Ning shook his head and said, "Liam Liang is coming soon. I have some gauze in my schoolbag. Please help me change it."

In the evening, the campus was full of people. They found a bench behind a bronze statue of Maxwell and sat there. Nate Ning opened his schoolbag and took out the wet wipes, disinfection tools and gauze that he had prepared long ago, saying, "FortuNate Ningly, I have two plans, otherwise Liam Liang would scold me again."

"He's very good to you." Zach Zhou helped him remove the gauze, wiped the intact skin stained with blood, pressed the wound, and said softly.

Nate Ning did not refute Zach Zhou's words. This time, Nate Ning's bleeding stopped not too slowly. The two of them silently and carefully changed Nate Ning's gauze.

Nate Ning put the things back together and said, "Zi Rui, this is really unfair."

Zach Zhou nodded vigorously, agreeing with Nate Ning's opinion.

"He is Professor  Ken's son. Even if he was admitted to the school by special selection, he is still superior to me," Nate Ning folded up the extra gauze and stuffed it into a small bag, complaining quietly, "He is domineering in the research group and bullying us."

"Small, small people succeed," Zach Zhou said, "He is not as good as you, he is worse than you, far worse than you, he is not even as good as one of your white blood cells. He is jealous of you!"

"He's jealous of you, too." Nate Ning said, handing Zach Zhou a bottle of hand sanitizer and whispering, "Because he's far worse than us, and he'll be left further and further behind by us."

"Yes," Zach Zhou took it and squeezed a bunch of foam on his hands, "You are right. Nate Ning."

After washing his hands, Liam Liang called. Nate Ning answered and Liam Liang said, "I'm at the entrance of the fourth canteen. Where are you?"

"I'm on the bench behind the Maxwell statue," Nate Ning said slowly, "I came to see you."

"Stay still." Liam Liang said, "I'll come over."

After hanging up the phone, Nate Ning brought the wound close to Zach Zhou's eyes and said nervously, "Help me take a look. Can't you see it?"

Zach Zhou observed it carefully, looking at the tape that he had pasted a little crookedly, and judged: "Hmm."

Soon, Liam Liang arrived. He walked in front of Nate Ning with big strides, looked down at Nate Ning and Zach Zhou who were leaning against each other, and couldn't help asking them: "What are you hiding here for?"

Nate Ning looked at Liam Liang, and suddenly decided to pick up the strap of the schoolbag and handed it to Liam Liang. Liam Liang took it without hesitation, and asked Zach Zhou without noticing: "Did Nate Ning eat dinner well?"

Zach Zhou didn't know whether he should say it or not, so he said in a low and vague voice: "Eat, eat."

Liam Liang thought Zach Zhou was shy, so he smiled at him and asked Nate Ning, "Do you want to sit for a while longer?"

"No." Nate Ning stood up, said goodbye to Zach Zhou, followed Liam Liang for a few steps, and was suddenly held by Liam Liang's hand.

Liam Liang held her hand too tightly, and it always seemed weird for two boys to hold hands in school. Nate Ning had never seen such a precedent, so she tilted her head slightly to glance at Liam Liang.

Liam Liang didn't look at him, but stared straight ahead, explaining stiffly: "It's to know your walking speed in time. You can't walk too fast."

"Okay." Nate Ning accepted, and they walked along the trail together to where Liam Liang parked his car.

As dusk deepened, most people were in a hurry and paid no attention to them.

They walked very slowly, much slower than Liam Liang would walk alone. Nate Ning walked while thinking, he didn't care about others, anyway, his parents, Liam Liang and Zach Zhou must definitely stand on his side.

You have to do it without hesitation.
