Liam Liang collected his thoughts and worked in the study for a while. He heard Nate Ning calling him from outside the half-open door.

"Liam Liang Liam Liang Liam Liang." Nate Ning's voice came from far away.

Liam Liang raised his head, but did not stand up, and looked at the door intently.

Soon, a hand pressed the edge of the door frame, Nate Ning poked his head in and said, "You are working."

Nate Ning was holding a towel in her hand, and the water dripping from the ends of her hair left dark watermarks on the edges of her pajama T-shirt.

He washed too slowly, and his whole body felt like it was steamed by the hot air in the bathroom, and even his knuckles holding the towel were pink.

"What's the matter?" Liam Liang asked him.

"Oh, I can't blow dry my hair properly," Nate Ning said embarrassedly, "I want you to help me."

Liam Liang nodded, closed the computer, stood up, and accompanied Nate Ning to the bathroom in the guest room.

The steam in the bathroom had almost dissipated. Liam Liang brought a chair to Nate Ning, asked Nate Ning to sit in front of the sink, turned on the hair dryer, and reached out to play with Nate Ning's hair.

Nate Ning's hair was fine and soft, and it was not easy to blow dry. Liam Liang was not skilled, so after a long time of blowing, it was only half dry. Nate Ning rarely enjoyed this kind of treatment, and leaned back in the chair like an old man, constantly giving Liam Liang suggestions.

"The air vent is a little close," Nate Ning said happily with his eyes closed, "It seems a little hot."

Liam Liang silently took it a little further away, and Nate Ning said again: "It won't dry if it's this far away."

Liam Liang couldn't stand it anymore, so he turned off the hair dryer, looked at the smug Nate Ning in the mirror, and said coldly: "Shut up and sit up straight."

Nate Ning's privileged time only lasted three minutes before it was declared over.

He glanced at Liam Liang reluctantly, sat up for a moment, then lazily leaned over the marble sink, buried his face in his elbows, looking defenseless.

Nate Ning's T-shirt was not long enough, revealing a small part of her white waist. Her spine was slightly protruding, and it looked like it could be broken with one hand.

Liam Liang remembered very clearly the moment when he first realized his feelings for Nate Ning.

The winter two years ago was colder than in previous years. The temperature in D City, where it almost never snowed, dropped below zero. It even rained and snowed for half an hour early one morning.

Liam Liang had taken over the company for more than half a year. Kang Minmin resigned from the board of directors and took her husband to the southern hemisphere for recuperation. Liam Liang became very busy. Every day he either slept in the lounge of the company's office, on the plane, or in a hotel in another city. He could rarely go home a few times a month.

He gave Nate Ning his home access card in case Nate Ning wanted to go to his house when he was not there, but Nate Ning was a bit forgetful and his access card always disappeared out of thin air. Liam Liang asked his secretary to go to the property management to make five cards, but in just half a year, Nate Ning had used them all.

When Liam Liang received Nate Ning's call, he was just walking down the gangway. The driver was waiting not far away and opened the car door for him.

Liam Liang was very tired that day and didn't want to say a word. His secretary held the phone for him. Perhaps he felt that the words "little slave" were a bit difficult to say, so the secretary called Liam Liang awkwardly and showed him the screen. Nate Ning rarely called Liam Liang, so Liam Liang picked up the phone and pressed the answer button.

"What's the matter?" he asked Nate Ning.

Nate Ning was obviously hesitant. He first asked Liam Liang: "Where are you?"

"Airport."

"Are you going out?" Nate Ning seemed to be in embarrassment and his speech became slow.

Liam Liang got into the car, waited for the driver to close the door, and told Nate Ning: "Just got back."

"Um," Nate Ning paused for a few seconds and asked him carefully, "Are you going home today?"

Liam Liang was really tired, and after listening to Nate Ning's roundabout way of talking, he felt a little impatient, which he couldn't hide: "What's going on?"

"My card has been lost again," Nate Ning said pitifully, "and my air conditioner is broken, and my parents are not at home."

...

"If you come back, I'll wait for you in the coffee shop opposite your community." Nate Ning added.

"I'm back," Liam Liang said, and hung up the phone.

I told the driver, "No need to go back to the company, come to my house."

The car drove out of the terminal smoothly. Liam Liang looked at the sky outside the window. The sun had set behind the horizon, but the residual light was still there, so it could not be considered night yet.

It took 40 minutes to get from the airport to Liam Liang's home. Liam Liang reclined his seat and took a nap. When the driver stopped at the gate of the community, Liam Liang woke up. He sat there for a few seconds, picked up his coat, and got out of the car.

Nate Ning was sitting by the window in the coffee shop, with a half-drunk cup of coffee in hand, typing away on the computer, not knowing what she was doing. Liam Liang walked over and knocked on the glass next to Nate Ning, and Nate Ning was startled, and turned around quickly like a frightened rabbit, with his eyes wide open.

Liam Liang couldn't help but smile.

No matter what, the fatigue from days of running around was driven away by Nate Ning who was sitting there honestly.

Nate Ning put away his computer, paid the bill, and walked out of the coffee shop with his schoolbag on his back, slowly approaching Liam Liang. He had the warmth from the coffee shop, which also made Liam Liang feel warm.

"It's so fast today," Nate Ning said, "You're not going to the company, right?"

Liam Liang hummed and said, "Let's go."

Liam Liang's home was on the top four floors of the tallest building near the lake. He asked the driver to go back first and took Nate Ning inside. The two did not talk. Nate Ning followed closely, quietly followed into the lobby of the apartment, and took the elevator again.

The elevator door opened, and when the two entered the room, it closed behind them.

The room was kept at 28 degrees. Liam Liang took off his coat and threw it on the shelf beside him. Nate Ning behind him suddenly called him, "Liam Liang."

Liam Liang turned around and saw Nate Ning looking at him with a smile, holding a wrapped square box in his hand, and said to him: "Happy birthday."

Liam Liang thought his heartbeat stopped for at least half a second before it continued to beat regularly. He himself did not remember it, his parents did not mention it, and his subordiNate Nings were perhaps afraid of making Liam Liang feel rude, so they kept silent.

The only person in the world who took the initiative to say happy birthday to Liam Liang was Nate Ning.

Seeing Liam Liang not moving, Nate Ning said, "You forgot it yourself." He took two steps closer and stuffed the gift into Liam Liang's hand: "With such a bad memory, can you successfully manage a company?"

Nate Ning's hands were cold after walking outside for a while. Her fingertips rubbed against the back and palm of Liam Liang's hands. They were cold but very soft.

"Nate Ning," Liam Liang stared at Nate Ning and said, "You have a good memory and you even dropped all five cards."

Nate Ning pursed her lips, took out a thick card holder from her pocket, showed it to Liam Liang, and said with a little pride: "How can you be so easy to deceive? Zach Zhou and I disassembled an old mobile phone and installed a tracker on the card holder. I won't lose the card anymore."

He added: "I just want to trick you back home."

"Do you want to see what the gift is?" Nate Ning kept talking all day. He asked Liam Liangdao, "Open it and take a look."

Liam Liang untied the ribbon on the box, removed the wrapping paper, and opened the box.

Nate Ning gave Liam Liang a small transparent glass model box. Between the two mirror-like glass, there was a very small and shiny object.

"It's a model of a photon clock," Nate Ning explained. "I made it myself. The one in the middle is a diamond. You know, diamonds are one of the biggest lies of this century. But Zach Zhou said that gifts shouldn't be too cheap, so I bought one and put it in."

Liam Liang held the beautiful little box, lowered his head and looked at it carefully, without looking at Nate Ning.

"I wish you have time," Nate Ning said, "even though it's not very realistic."

After a while, Liam Liang found his voice again and said to Nate Ning: "Thank you."

"Of course," Nate Ning replied immediately, "but I didn't buy you a cake. If you want to eat it, you can go to the coffee shop across the community and buy it yourself. I just saw a six-inch cake in the refrigerator. It's too cold so I won't go down. If you go, please bring me a cup of hot cocoa."

"Would you like some hot cocoa?" Liam Liang captured the key information in Nate Ning's words.

Nate Ning felt that Liam Liang must want to ask him to go downstairs to buy it. He didn't want to go out at all, so he refused to admit it: "No, no, I mean if you go, you can bring me a cup."

Liam Liang forgot how he walked to the coffee shop and went home with the hot cocoa and cake. He only remembered that when he entered the door, Nate Ning was lying on the sofa and fell asleep.

To the naked eye, there is no difference between Nate Ning at the age of nineteen and seventeen. His appearance is between a youth and a teenager. The corners of his lips are always curled up, and he has an immature stubbornness.

He was wearing a thin sweater that was not too loose, and compared to the big sofa, he looked very thin. He lay casually, with one arm hanging from the edge of the sofa, and the back of his hand touched the carpet. Liam Liang half-knelt beside Nate Ning, looked at him for a while, and tentatively reached out to wrap his hand around Nate Ning's wrist. Nate Ning's wrist was very warm, and so thin that it seemed like it would slip out of Liam Liang's hand at any time.

Liam Liang carefully K!ssed Nate Ning's forehead, eyelashes, nose tip and cheeks, then moved away, carried Nate Ning to the guest room, walked out and closed the door.

Because Nate Ning is still young and knows very little, he should be allowed to make his own choices.

Nate Ning's hair was blow-dried.

Liam Liang said nothing as he helped Nate Ning to put away her clothes and put away the hair dryer.
