Zhao Jingyun and Cassidy Zheng could tell that strange noises were coming from the stairs.
Zhao Jingyun touched Cassidy Zheng, pointed to the end of the corridor, and said in a low voice: "Let's climb out of the window."
The two of them clung to the corridor wall, listening to the movements around them, and walked towards the window.
Zhao Jingyun opened the window switch with force, the rusty iron frame made an abrupt sound, and the surroundings were quiet for a few seconds.
There was a scream from downstairs, and it sounded like Kendrick Xi's voice.
