The moment Kendrick Xi opened the iron door and stepped in, a very high-pitched voice sounded. His body shook and he stopped abruptly.
Before he could breathe a sigh of relief, a red light shot out from the side of the door frame and was blocked by the iron plate on the other side of the door frame, making a sizzling sound often heard at barbecue stalls.
Kendrick Xi broke into a cold sweat and couldn't imagine what he would be like if this light shone on him.
