Governor Zheng wrote twelve letters overnight and sent them to the six cities in Xichuan. He also sent two groups of people to each city, one for his own confidants and the other for the Hundred Ghosts under Finn Ye.
The first group of confidants rode fast horses and mixed in with the patrol army to leave the city at night. The second group, after receiving the letter, dispersed in the city and waited for the city gates to open after curfew to sneak out. The two groups had no communication with each other. At least they had to ensure that each city could successfully receive a letter, and the rest had to be destroyed in time to prevent any news from leaking out.
Only when the last person who held the letter left his sight did Finn Ye breathe a sigh of relief.
Still wearing the coarse cloth clothes of a servant, Finn Ye stood under the eaves like a gray shadow, not at all noticeable. He stretched out his hand to gesture to the people who were still in the yard, then turned and went back into the house.
After writing the letter, Governor Zheng still had a lot to say to him. Unfortunately, when Finn Ye returned to the room, he had already fallen asleep on the table. It was as if the drunkenness that he had suppressed before had risen again, or as if he could no longer hold on due to the sleepiness.
