As it approached twelve o'clock, Brandon Lu pulled Elliot Chen out to set off firecrackers.
Brandon Lu placed the long firecrackers on the ground, then took out a lighter and lit them. Elliot Chen stood far away and watched Brandon Lu running towards him.
The crackling sound was heard, and it sounded particularly lively.
Brandon Lu's brother and sister also lit the fireworks. With a "whoosh", the gorgeous fireworks exploded in the air, blooming with brilliant colors, lighting up the black night sky with exceptional brightness.
Brandon Lu reached out and held Elliot Chen's right hand. He grasped Elliot Chen's palm, and gently stroked the ring on Elliot Chen's ring finger with his thumb. Then he turned his head and gave Elliot Chen a gentle K!ss on the cheek.
