The screen lit up again, and this time the right movie was playing: From Hell, the one Ethan Cao had chosen, a crime-themed horror film.
The first half of the film was a bit boring. While watching it, I could hear the intermittent creaking of a rocking recliner next door, which even the headphones couldn't block out. It made it hard not to imagine what was happening next door.
The awkward atmosphere in the air was even more awkward than before. The two of them accidentally looked at each other. Ethan Cao took off his headphones and came over to talk. Liam Liang also took off his headphones.
Ethan Cao leaned close to his ear and whispered stealthily: "Do you think they are doing something?"
"What?" Liam Liang looked at him and asked calmly.
