Adrian kept his promise and drove Victor on the way to Youfu's house early the next morning.

The morning light slowly spreads in the sky, and a red sun rises from the horizon with soft glow and spreads to the center of the sky.

Victor sat in the passenger seat, his eyes drifting from time to time to the handsome face reflected in the rearview mirror. Tokikawa would occasionally exchange glances with him while driving, and then the two would quickly look away.

More than an hour later, the car stopped near Youfu's residence.

You Fu is not used to city life, so this place is far away from the city center. Not far away, the old and new walls intersect to form a small road leading to the residence. The houses nearby are all double-story buildings with a square courtyard.

Adrian opened the door and got out of the car, then went around to the back and opened the trunk. Victor was staring at the green vegetable fields in the distance, but his peripheral vision was instantly attracted by the gift boxes full of them.

"Why did you buy so many things?"

"Is it a lot?" Shikawa looked unconcerned and took out things one by one and piled them on the ground, "I feel okay."

The two of them came to the door one after another. The doorbell was pressed. A few seconds later, the door opened. A tall, thin old man with slightly hunched shoulders and gray hair stood in front of them.

The father and son looked at each other briefly. Victor was silent for a moment and called "Dad".

Youfu slowly moved away his cloudy eyes and made a vague response from his throat.

In the next second, he walked around Victor and looked at Adrian with caring and eager eyes. A smile appeared on his face, "It's almost time. Why are you still holding so many things? Come in, come in!" "

Like gravel digging into his flesh, Adrian felt suddenly uncomfortable as he looked at the wrinkled smiling face.

He let go of the things in his hands, placed them heavily at Victor's feet, and replied casually, "Well, luckily I'm not late. You Zhoufei had to buy these things for you, and I was delayed for a while on the way."

Victor was changing his shoes. He paused when he heard the sound. He looked up at Adrian, his eyes full of surprise.

The smile on Youfu's face froze for a moment, and then, as if he hadn't heard anything at all, he stood up and said, "Well, it's good to be here. Your Aunt Tang heard that you were coming and went to the vegetable market yesterday to buy some." So many dishes..."

"Bring me a pair of slippers, too," Adrian interrupted his thoughts, walked around You Fu, stretched out a hand to Victor who was sitting on a low stool, and said at the same time, "Our Aunt Tang is really good at cooking. Eat, I'm hungry, how are you?"

Victor couldn't help but laugh at Adrian's angry word "we". He gently took out a pair of shoes and handed them over. He imitated his tone and replied: "Well, I have some, too. Let's go, let's wash our hands and go to eat." "

The two of them tacitly ignored the other person standing at the door. Youfu stood there, blowing his beard and staring at Victor's back.

The sound of cooking and frying in the kitchen lingered in the air along with the roar of the smoke machine. A short woman at the door was pushing Victor out, with a loving face, "Hey, Xiaozhou, why are you here to help?" I'm so busy. I'm so tired from work. Let's take a good rest after finally going home."

Adrian was called to the living room by You Fu just now, and upon hearing the sound, he immediately looked towards the kitchen. Youfu noticed his movements and said quickly: "Don't worry about him. He has nothing to do every day. Shouldn't he do some work now?"

Hearing this, Shikawa smiled.

The next second he stood up and walked straight towards the kitchen, "That's just right. I'm usually very free, so I just happened to go to help."

You Fu was left alone in the middle of the living room, has single-handedly isolated everyone. The more he thought about it, the more unhappy he became, and this feeling reached its peak when he saw Victor in the kitchen like a star over the moon. So he squeezed in deliberately and stomped loudly at the same time.

Aunt Tang was talking and laughing with Victor, but she suddenly fell silent when she saw her husband's gloomy expression.

Seeing You Fu approaching the stove step by step, his expression turned completely ugly when he saw the brightly colored squirrel mandarin fish in the pot, "Why are you making fish again? No one in the family eats this?"

Aunt Tang wiped her hands on her apron twice, not daring to raise her head or speak.

Adrian seemed to deliberately choose which pot to open and which pot to lift. He leaned over and said "Huh", then smiled at the woman and said, "Aunt Tang, you have a really good memory. You still remember that Victor likes to eat fish."

Youfu coughed heavily, "He only comes back a few times a year? Why bother cooking this dish?"

"What a coincidence," Adrian took over with a smile, "Aunt Tang, can you teach me later? I'm with Victor every day, so I can cook it for him alone."

Aunt Tang and Victor couldn't help but look at each other, the former's eyes were full of smiles.

This scene just happened to be seen by You Fu. In the past, he would have been furious. However, Shikawa was here today. He could only hold back his anger and left the kitchen with his slippers behind his back.

He was still angry when he sat in front of the coffee table. He didn't know what was going on today, and everyone was trying to undermine him.

This meal took a lot of effort, and everyone had sweat on their faces when the food was served. Finally, at noon, the four of them sat down at the table. Adrian and Victor sit on the same side, and Youfu and Aunt Tang sit opposite them.

"Okawa, come and try this. I remember you said this dish is delicious before."

Adrian politely responded and thanked him.

Youfu sat across from him and looked at him with indescribable satisfaction in his eyes. Aunt Tang felt that it was not good for him to stare at his son-in-law like this, so she quietly pulled Youfu's sleeve and received a fierce glare from her husband.

The dinner table was silent, except for Tokawa who would give simple replies to Youfu's occasional greetings. Halfway through the meal, Youfu suddenly cleared his throat and said, "Xiaochuan, your company should be quite big, right?"

Shikawa raised his head and smiled politely, without nodding or shaking his head, "It's just average, mainly because I'm lucky."

"Then... can you find a position for him?"

There was silence at the dinner table for a moment. Victor put down his chopsticks and realized that everyone was looking at him.

He immediately understood what You Fu meant just now, and without a moment's hesitation, Victor answered simply: "I don't need it."

After being rejected, Youfu was already getting angry. His eyes protruded from his sockets, and his two gray eyebrows were raised high, almost covering his withered forehead.

He suppressed his anger and said in a cold tone, "Why don't you need it? If I could just arrange a job for you in the company when I was young, wouldn't it be better than the one you have now! You're in your twenties, how can you look like you're doing serious business every day?!"

This kind of self-righteous gangster logic left people speechless. Victor leaned back on his chair and asked calmly: "If being a teacher in a university is not considered a 'serious career' by you, then what is?" Calculate?"

No one spoke, even the sound of chewing stopped. Youfu sat on the chair, his hand holding the chopsticks trembling a little.

"It's really mud that can't hold up the wall!"

The more indifferent Victor on the opposite side became, the angrier he became. His thin chest with protruding ribs rose and fell together, and all the things about tangerine peel and rotten millet were brought out by him and shaken out.

"I can see through it. You are here to collect debts. Humph, you have not been worry-free since you were a child. When you were a child, you dared to secretly pick up a stray dog   and take it home." After saying this, You Fu seemed to remember something from the past. His face twisted for a moment, and then his pitch gradually increased, and his voice became harsh: "My wings have become even stronger since I entered high school. During the college entrance examination, I secretly changed my choice. I worked so hard to make money just for you to learn ancient Chinese characters?" "

"Don't think that you dare to talk to me like this as a university teacher! I tell you, as long as I live one day, you must always listen to me! Just because I am your father!"

Aunt Tang kept her head down from beginning to end, and at this moment she was quietly observing her husband's expression from the edge of her eyes, and patted You Fu's arm gently, "Okay, the children finally came back, why are you so angry?" "

You Fu opened her hand with a livid expression.

Victor took in all the actions of the two people in silence, and then closed his eyes. A few light blue blood vessels were faintly visible on his thin eyelids. When he opened his eyes again, he looked at his father opposite, with no expression on his face.

"Are you finished?"

Youfu glared at him fiercely, "What? Are you going to talk back?"

"Of course I don't dare," Victor folded his arms and leaned on the chair, saying calmly: "I just want to remind you that it is normal for me to do this. After all, my body is bleeding with my mother's blood. How about this explanation for you? satisfied?"

There was a loud "snap", the porcelain bowl fell on the table and fell into pieces, and Youfu's eye bags suddenly trembled.

"I'll beat you to death, you idiot!"

The dead wood-like palm was about to hit Victor's face with strong wind. He didn't resist, he just turned his head and closed his eyes.

After a long time, the slap did not fall.

When Victor opened his eyes, he realized that Adrian beside him had stood up at some point and grabbed Youfu's hand.

His voice was very soft, but it carried an unmistakable warning, "You want to hit him?"

A lock of white hair fell from You Fu's thin forehead, and his already thin forehead glowed with an angry red light.

He didn't dare to confront Tokikawa no matter what. The veins on his forehead swelled a few times. After a while, an embarrassing smile appeared on his face, "No, I didn't want to hit him. I didn't do it because of what he said." Are you angry..."

Tokikawa let go of his hand and sat down on the chair again.

"Well, then I'll ask someone to bring you some fire-reducing medicine tomorrow. After all, being angry can hurt your health."
