Many years ago, the Golden Lion Empire was the most powerful country in the northern part of the continent, bar none. But now, the entire north and even most of the east have switched to the Northern Emerald New Calendar.

This small country, which originally lived in the ice field, became an accomplice of the Sand Demons and rapidly expanded its territory. In the past 730 years, it has firmly controlled the entire northern continent. And its current ruler, Nathan Sapir, is a complete idiot.

He didn't know what was wrong with him, but he was born to hate the Golden Lion Country, even though the latter had long lost its glory and was even ruined by the previous hedonistic emperors and was about to be on par with city-states like Leiyin City. But he still happily regarded the Golden Lion Country as a thorn in his side.

He always tried his best to take advantage of every opportunity to humiliate the Golden Lion Kingdom, either explicitly or implicitly.

For example, this blind lion in front of us.

"Ten minutes ago, when the sand ghosts passed through, these idiots were kneeling on the ground and kowtowing to their ancestors." Oswald said sarcastically with a cold face, "Now you have the mind to laugh at others."

Long before he took over, when he privately talked about the Northern Emerald Kingdom and Nathan Sapir, his evaluation was just four words: "It will be over sooner or later."

Now, he stood in front of the blatant humiliation of the Northern Emerald Country, but he did not take it for granted and threw out those four words. Instead, he narrowed his eyes, tilted his head and said to David Kevin: "I hate kneeling. I hate it so much."

David Kevin's eyes moved, and he raised his chin towards the crippled lion in the cage: "Who isn't?"

Who isn't?

Even if one's eyes were scratched, claws were broken, and one became disabled, no one wanted to kneel.

The lion that was pushed into the iron cage suddenly growled, grabbed the ground with its limping front paw twice, and forced itself to stand up straight.

Its body was shaking wildly, and it was unclear whether it was because it was too painful or too strenuous. In any case, it was definitely not because of fear.

In fact, although its blind eyes look scary, its head shaking from side to side always gives people a sense of confusion - it seems that it has no idea where it is or what kind of danger it is about to face. All the subtle sounds from its opponents are drowned out by the noisy voices and sharp whistles around it.

The black-eared wolf opposite seemed to have been drugged or had some other tricks done to it. Its eyes were red and almost bleeding, and its sharp white teeth were stained with minced meat. It looked like it was not far from going crazy. When it saw the lion enter the cage, its pace of circling back and forth paused.

With his head tilted and one of his front paws hanging, he carefully observed his opponent this time.

Soon, its front paws slowly landed on the ground, and it continued to circle the cage. Relying on the fact that the lion was blind, it even bumped into the lion twice when passing by it, making a low snoring sound in its throat, not sure whether it was a warning or a provocation.

"This is a stray male lion we caught in Skull Valley. It must have lost its way and is living on garbage." A young man standing next to the iron cage spoke arrogantly. He turned the gem ring on his hand and said slowly: "It is so pitiful, so we want to change its way of life. This is not a gamble of life, it will end when the time is right. If this old guy wins, all the money will belong to him. I will buy the best meat for him, hire the best veterinarEthan, and build him an exquisite and comfortable cage. If he loses..."

He paused, then said nonchalantly: "It doesn't matter if you lose, it's just for fun, the money is yours, we'll continue on our journey at dawn."

After listening to his fart, David Kevin commented succinctly: "Little B@st@ard."

Samuel Osvid frowned. "I know him. He is Nathan Sapir's youngest son, Lucas. He has a sharp face and a monkey-like appearance. He spends money like water and seeks excitement everywhere. His personality... I agree with your point of view."

The whistles in the crowd grew louder, especially those of Bott's disguised lackeys.

The owner of the Gerry Black Wolf on the opposite side had no objection to Victor's idea of   "being bored and coming to give away money", and happily placed his bet and nodded to the referee.

The black-eared wolf still circled around the lion provocatively, its thick tail boldly sweeping across the lion's paws from time to time, and the snoring in its throat never stopped, as if it was not afraid of it at all.

The referee picked up the huge copper bell and shook it twice.

The owner of the black-eared wolf shouted impatiently: "Stop turning!" Then he swung the steel whip in his hand, and with a "snap" sound, he hit the black-eared wolf hard.

Instantly, the skin and flesh were torn apart, blood and flesh were dripping. The black-eared wolf trembled violently, howled and bared its teeth, and rushed back, banging against the cage. The owner suddenly retracted his hand, took a step back skillfully, threw away the whip, and said nonchalantly: "Two whips will make you angry."

The black-eared wolf's eyes were bloodshot, and it flicked its tail, retreated to its area, lowered its shoulders, arched its back, and assumed an attacking posture.

David Kevin followed Samuel Osvid and unknowingly squeezed from the back of the crowd to the front, close to the edge of the cage. They stood face to face with the referee across the cage, and were close to the bolt of the iron cage.

"Have I ever told you that I can understand animal language?" Samuel Osvid took advantage of the noise of the crowd and whispered in David Kevin's ear.

David Kevin was stunned: "What do you mean?"

Samuel Osvid still squinted his eyes and looked into the cage. He did not explain much, but just asked: "Are you afraid of lions?"

David Kevin sneered: "How is that possible? He beat up the lion several times last night."

Samuel Osvid keenly caught the key words: "last night?"

David Kevin: ... Oh no! I let something slip when I was so proud of myself.

Samuel Osvid said, "Oh!" "I understand. I'll settle the score with you later."

He stared at the bell in the referee's hand, shook his head and said, "It's a pity..."

David Kevin: "What's the regret?"

His eyes moved and fell on Samuel Osvid's quietly raised hand, vaguely guessing what this ancestor was trying to do.

The referee raised the bronze hammer and hit the bronze bell hard.

when!

In a flash, the moment the bell rang, the black-eared wolf, as strong as a bear, jumped up and shot straight at the lion like a heavy arrow. With a loud howl, it pounced the lion to the ground.

The two huge beasts rolled into a ball on the ground, unable to stop for a moment, and crashed heavily into the iron cage.

The heavy claws slammed down on the cage with a clang, like a sharp axe, directly bending the iron railings, and the gap between the railings instantly widened.

The sharp claws of the lion and the wolf were equally sharp and stabbed directly out of the gap.

Victor, who was closest to the opponent, was unable to dodge and a piece of flesh was scraped off his arm.

"Ah---" The crowd suddenly became chaotic. Victor screamed, covered his arms, and squeezed frantically, trying to get away from the iron cage.

Neither the owner of the black-eared wolf, nor the referee, nor the people who had been watching before, had expected the battle to be so intense.

"Crazy! They're crazy!" Screams broke out from the crowd. They pushed and shoved to make way for the tables and chairs in the casino and rushed out.

Samuel Osvid sneered, glanced at Victor and his group who were closest to the cage door, and finished his previous words: "It's a pity that you are not afraid of them---"

After saying that, he pulled the cage door with his finger, and there was a "click" sound. The iron cage door opened and the huge beast that had rolled into a ball jumped out of the cage in an instant.

"Go!" Samuel Osvid grabbed David Kevin and ran.

Behind him, Victor was howling and screaming, and was rushing around in a crowd surrounded by his guards who were frantically surrounding him.

"Are you out of your mind?!" David Kevin ran and roared as if he wanted to grab his ears.

Samuel Osvid jumped over the gambling table and rushed out the door with David Kevin, running non-stop. After turning a corner and no longer seeing the beasts, he roared back, "I told you I can understand what they are saying! Can you wait until it's safe before scolding me?"

David Kevin jumped onto a low wall and climbed onto the roof with a dagger in a few seconds: "Who the hell gave this to you? How dare you say that?!"

Samuel Osvid without a knife: ...

The entire exile area was thrown into chaos by the two beasts, with screams and flames everywhere.

David Kevin and Samuel Osvid were arguing with each other, wishing they could slap each other in the face, while they were moving around the houses in a very coquettish manner, trying to get back to the Crow's Nest Abandoned Temple as soon as possible.

Unfortunately... it's easy to go wrong if you move too coquettishly, such as putting yourself directly in front of those two beasts.
