There were several big potholes between the lawn and the road in front of the door, and the water from the swimming pool of the villa next door leaked out through the cracks in the road.
The house seemed to have experienced a small earthquake. Objects from high places fell to the ground, furniture shifted, and the stacks of movies and fashion magazines lay side by side on the carpet, with a few pieces of chandelier and vase fragments in between.
