The collapsed shop signs on the street were soaked in mud and water.
Several old houses were tilted and their roofs were gone. Rainwater was constantly washing the furniture inside, and many things were floating in the puddles: clothes, plastic basins, and half a deflated basketball.
I don't know where the radio came from: "Hiss... It's the fourth day since Hurricane Jennifer hit South El Salvador... Hurricane Jennifer, which was originally predicted to land in Mexico, suddenly changed direction in the early morning of November 7 and finally landed in South El Salvador in the evening of the 7th... Most areas near the Gulf of Mexico suffered heavy losses and traffic was paralyzed..."
The wind died down, but the heavy rain continued unabated.
An apple was washed by the current, half floating and half sinking, bumping and colliding among all kinds of debris. The rain knocked it down, and it floated to a sheltered place above, where the apple stubbornly emerged again.
