The curtains were half drawn, and the bustling night scene was reflected on the huge French windows, like stars dotted on the night sky. Shangjing at night was more bustling than during the day, with lights and wine everywhere.

Sarah sat on the soft carpet, half leaning against the bed, holding his cell phone in his fingers, and seemed a little unable to sleep.

The words of Song's father and second brother kept lingering in my mind.

Peter's face suddenly appeared, and his tightly furrowed brows relaxed.

She pursed her lips, hesitated for a moment, and then called her best friend Wendy.

One o'clock in Beijing was exactly half past nine there. Judging from Wendy's usual schedule, she definitely hadn't slept.

"Beep beep" the song was finished playing, but the call was still not answered.

Sarah frowned in confusion, hung up the phone, opened WeChat and sent a few messages.

Song An: [Wan Wan, are you asleep? ]

She pursed her lips, pinched her fingers subconsciously, and typed out her thoughts.

Song An: [I seem to have fallen in love with a man at first sight...]

The next second, before Sarah finished typing, a call message popped up on his cell phone and started to buzz.

------Wanwan.

She clicked the answer button, and just as she put the phone to her ear, a hurried female voice rang out: "fcuk, An An, you finally got it?!"

Without waiting for her to reply, she started asking questions one after another: "Who is he? What does he look like? Do I know him? Where do you live? Are you good at playing games..."

The female voice paused, suddenly let out a muffled groan, and then whispered a scolding in English.

Sarah: "......"

Her white and tender earlobe suddenly felt hot, as if she had ruined Wanwan's "good thing".

She hung up the phone in a hurry, stood up, threw herself into the bed, and pulled the pillow to bury herself.

Unlike her who has been single till now, Wendy got married when she was in her sophomore year. It is said that they met because of playing games. However, they decided to get along with each other within half a year. They got engaged and lived together early and waited to return to China to get the marriage certificate when they reached the legal age.

Because of this, Wendy had told her many times about the joy of having a boyfriend, especially the "happiness" of having a strong boyfriend.

Sarah covered himself tighter, trying to drive out the voice in his head.

It was hard to calm down, but those bony hands appeared again inexplicably, slowly moving up along the tie and landing on the s3xy Adam's apple.

Looking up, a face that was abstinent yet full of hormones suddenly appeared. He looked at her with a faint smile on his lips, but the smile did not reach his eyes, and there was a hint of being difficult to approach.

She was startled and sat up straight in shock. A few beads of sweat appeared on her forehead and her nerves were so tense that she was a little dazed.

A ring suddenly rang not far away, waking her up completely.

She shook her head and pressed her cheeks with her hands, which were cold from the air conditioning, in an attempt to cool down physically.

She lowered her eyes and looked over, only to find that her cell phone had been dropped off the bed at some point. It was lying alone on the carpet, vibrating.

She got out of bed barefoot to get it.

The ringing sound suddenly stopped and then rang immediately. She answered it, took a deep breath, and walked to the sofa and sat down while waiting for the signal to stabilize.

He glanced at the phone again. It was one thirty-five, and thirty minutes had passed since the last call.

Her boyfriend is really strong.

The weather in summer changes suddenly. After several days of sunny weather, it suddenly changed in the middle of the night. Raindrops as big as beans penetrated the thick clouds and fell heavily, making a dull sound when they landed on the glass.

It's weird and scary.

Sarah whispered over there: "Wait, I'll go close the window first." Then he stood up to check whether the window was closed tightly.

Wendy on the other end responded weakly.

After checking the windows of all the rooms, Sarah put the phone to his ear again and sat down against the bed.

She pressed the hands-free key. She leaned against the bed like she had no bones. "Okay."

"An An, tell the truth!" Wendy took a deep breath and deliberately emphasized her tone.

Sarah pursed his lips and answered her questions one by one: "His name is Peter, he's very handsome, you probably don't know him, and I don't know where he lives."

Are you good at playing games?

Sarah answered uncertainly: "Probably not playing games."

She paused and added, "But if he fights, he should be very powerful." After all, he is so powerful.

The person on the other end of the phone paused for a moment, even his breathing stopped, and then he shouted in surprise: "Peter? You don't know Peter?"

Sarah shook his head subconsciously: "I don't know."

"Help me, help me, help me." Wendy was a little excited. She seemed to jump up from the bed immediately and then fell down heavily. She heard the man's anxious concern as he ran over to her.

She leaned close to the phone and said angrily: "I told you that you only know how to study all day, like a caveman. You don't even know Peter!"

She finished in one breath: "Peter is a famous legend in our Affiliated High School! He is handsome, excellent in study, always gets first place in the exam, and even pulls the second place by 30 or 40 points! He is the kind of pervert who gets close to full marks in all subjects!"

Sarah blinked, and only vaguely remembered that after a joint exam, a classmate mentioned this name------ "How did Pei Shen get 150 on this test?"

"I doubt Pei Shen can get 150 because the test paper only has 150 points."

"......"

Sarah regained his consciousness and had a rough idea of what he was thinking: "Is it Pei Shen, who was three years older than us and was recommended to study in his second year of high school but didn't go?"

Wendy was very excited: "Yes, yes, yes, I said, how could anyone from the Affiliated High School not know Pei Shen! He is... No, wait, what did you say------"

After a second of silence, another message popped up: "You said you fell in love with Pei Shen at first sight???"

Sarah turned down the volume in time and quickly covered it with a quilt to avoid the tragic end of the roof being blown off.

The other side also noticed this problem, and Wendy said in a thief-like voice: "You..."

She paused, as if trying to organize her words: "Are you serious?"

She lifted the quilt, leaned close to the microphone and said without hesitation: "Seriously."

There was silence.

Neither side spoke.

Sarah stared at the irregular clock hanging on the wall, and the ticking sound of the second hand was clearly audible.

After a long minute, the phone rang again: "No big problem!"

Wendy quickly came to her senses: "With your looks and figure, An An, plus a strategist like me who has been in the love field for more than ten years, it will be easy to win him over~"

Sarah didn't respond. He was skeptical about her entire sentence, especially since she had been in the love field for more than ten years.

She was sensible enough not to expose him, and changed the subject: "Last time you said you were going back to your country?"

The other side was still enthusiastically making a detailed and thorough plan for her, and she was a little confused: "Huh?"

The person behind her poked her, and Wendy hummed in a half-dead voice.

"I came back to get the marriage certificate and then settled down there."

Sarah was a little dazed. She seemed to hear a man's satisfied laughter and a crisp "boo" sound coming from the other end of the phone.

She turned away from her phone expressionlessly, realizing that she had eaten a little too much tonight.
