Alex didn't have high requirements for his residence. It was just a place to sleep. As long as it was clean and not noisy, it was fine. He didn't care much about whether the furniture was new or old, or whether the decoration was high-end. So he went to look at houses with the agent and quickly selected one. The rent was reasonable, so he paid a deposit.
The place where he separated from the agent was very close to a large shopping mall, so he went upstairs of the mall and planned to have a quick lunch.
But there are a lot of people shopping on weekends, and you have to wait for a table at the restaurant upstairs. He chose a fast food chain near his home that was less crowded. There were only three girls in the waiting area, and they were together. Once they were called, it would be his turn.
While waiting, the girls were chattering about gossip, saying which male star was so handsome, and whether they had watched his latest drama, blah blah.
Alex didn't sit down. Instead, he stood aside after getting his seat number. Seeing that his phone was running out of battery, he rummaged through his bag to find a power bank.
