October of the 34th year of Kaiping.
Jinzhou is located in the southwestern corner of the Song Dynasty.
Jinzhou is mountainous, and many famous mountains have been painted and commemorated by literati. Two years ago, Fu Xiru, one of the four great scholars in the world, traveled to Jinzhou after resigning from his post. After climbing Mount Lu, he wrote a poem saying: "Long fog sends the returning guest, and the morning mist cuts off the smoke and waves."
Because it is surrounded by mountains, Jinzhou has always been inconvenient to travel. Half a year ago, the emperor wanted to build a road to connect Shuzhou and Jinzhou. The difficulty of building this road is no less than the three official roads from Shengjing to the north. So officials from the Ministry of Works and craftsmen from all over the world came to Jinzhou and were busy repairing the official road, which was to be completed within two years.
Outside Jinzhou City, a carriage slowly drove over from a mountain path and arrived in front of the city gate. The soldiers guarding the city came forward to check, and the driver gave him something. The soldier's face changed drastically when he saw it, and he was about to kneel down to salute. A gentle and calm voice came from the carriage: "No need to be polite, maybe we can enter the city?"
