Dominic Jiang glanced at him without making any comment. He continued walking on his own and had no intention of talking to him again.
However, Cameron Yan noticed a pharmacy in front of him, so he pulled Dominic Jiang in to buy cotton swabs and ointment. Then he took him to sit on a bench on the street and used mineral water to clean the dust from his wound.
"I didn't ask you to do this." Dominic Jiang sat on the chair and spoke with confidence. He was neither grateful for the help given by the person in front of him, nor did he change his attitude because of Cameron Yan's kindness.
"I know." Cameron Yan was not angry because of his attitude. To be honest, Dominic Jiang did not ask him to do these things. He took the initiative to get involved in this matter. It was also because he could not bear to see Dominic Jiang's wounds that he took the initiative to buy these things to treat his wounds.
"Just consider it as a good deed I'm doing every day." He said as he treated Dominic Jiang's wound. Due to the hot weather, the wound had been exposed for too long and the blood had coagulated into scabs, making it a little troublesome to clean.
Cameron Yan once again discovered that Dominic Jiang had a good ability to endure pain. Whether he was cleaning out those impurities and causing the wound to bleed again, or applying ointment directly on the wound, Dominic Jiang was so quiet that even his breathing did not change.
However, Cameron Yan handled the situation very quickly. This was due to the fact that he had loved jumping around since he was a child, had been injured many times, and had treated his own wounds many times.
"Okay, remember to apply the medicine three times a day when you go back home, otherwise it might leave scars." Cameron Yan stuffed the remaining things into Dominic Jiang's arms.
Although he thought it was normal to have scars on the body, but looking at Dominic Jiang's arms, he still felt that it would be better to have fewer scars on them.
Dominic Jiang carried the bag, neither refused nor thanked him. He stood up and prepared to leave as soon as Cameron Yan had treated his wound.
Cameron Yan suddenly remembered that he hadn't introduced himself yet, and quickly added: "By the way, my name is Cameron Yan, Yan for color, and Yu for flame. We're from the same school."
He didn't do good deeds to leave a name for himself, he just felt that since he knew Dominic Jiang's name, Dominic Jiang should also know his.
Dominic Jiang looked at him for a moment, not sure if he listened carefully or not. He walked to the roadside with a bag and hailed a taxi.
He watched the taxi go away, and before he could react, Finn Lu called him. He was extremely angry on the other end of the phone: "You went to outer space to shop? It's been almost an hour, and you're crawling back like a snail."
Cameron Yan then remembered that he had forgotten about this, but they had almost finished choosing their classes and it was too late to buy snacks, so in the end he treated everyone to dinner.
Just one week after the course selection day, Cameron Yan met Dominic Jiang again in the e-sports hall.
The latter was sitting in a corner, wearing a black baseball cap. Cameron Yan thought he had a pretty good eye, as he could recognize the person even when he was wearing a hat.
He asked Finn Lu and the others to find a seat first, while he went around to the back of Dominic Jiang's seat.
A fierce fight was going on on the large display screen. Cameron Yan recognized that this was this year's popular game. He and Finn Lu came here today to conquer one of the side quests together.
The game volume was turned up very high. Dominic Jiang did not wear headphones, but hung them around his neck.
His operation was not dazzling, his slender fingers tapped on the keyboard in a premeditated manner, and he passed the level almost at the limit of health when facing the last leader. When it came to the settlement page, Cameron Yan found that his level was lower than his, and he actually passed this branch before him.
After Dominic Jiang exited the interface, he took on a few more daily tasks, controlling the character to shuttle through the scene model. He also triggered daily easter eggs on the way and received extra rewards.
Cameron Yan watched for a long time, and when Dominic Jiang passed another leader, he finally couldn't help but ask: "How long have you been playing this?"
Dominic Jiang didn't look back: "One month."
Cameron Yan rested his hands on the back of the chair and looked at Dominic Jiang who was concentrating on the game in a mysterious way: "How did you know it was me?"
"Your face is on the screen."
Just at this moment, the settlement page popped up again. The screen was black for a moment. Cameron Yan looked at himself flashing on the screen and suddenly realized.
He pulled open the chair next to him and sat down, moving closer to Dominic Jiang: "How did you get through that level just now? We are always troubled by the last remaining health."
Dominic Jiang's eyes were still fixed on the screen, and he answered calmly: "Because you are stupid."
"I think so too. Finn Lu always tells us to go together, but we fail every time." Cameron Yan spoke after serious reflection. They have tried again and again many times, but still haven't found the trick to pass the level. Compared to Dominic Jiang, they seem a little dull.
Dominic Jiang turned his head to look at him, and Cameron Yan noticed that Dominic Jiang was not wearing glasses, so he pointed to his eyes and said, "You haven't gone to get new glasses yet? By the way, how are your hands?"
As he spoke, he lowered his head to look at Dominic Jiang's arm. The new skin that had grown from the wound was whiter than the surrounding skin, but it was not obvious if you didn't look closely.
Dominic Jiang did not answer his question. Instead, he turned around and reopened the previous level. He pulled the save file to the last place, operated the mouse and keyboard, and demonstrated to Cameron Yan in silence, occasionally saying a word or two, such as leaving someone here to contain the enemy and placing a control there.
Dominic Jiang was obviously more skilled in passing the customs this time. After more than ten minutes, the leader guarding the customs fell down again.
After reading it, Cameron Yan couldn't help but sigh: "I kind of understand why you can make people so angry that they want to beat you up. You have a very smart brain."
Finn Lu waited inside for a long time, but Cameron Yan didn't show up. He went outside to look for him and found him lying in the corner, watching with great interest.
He walked over and patted his shoulder: "What are you waiting for? I'm waiting for you alone."
Cameron Yan turned around and immediately hooked his shoulder when he saw Finn Lu: "Come and see Dominic Jiang pass the level, let's learn some tips from him."
Finn Lu frowned, tilted his head to glance at the boy in the baseball cap, and whispered uncertainly in Cameron Yan's ear: "Are you sure? Why do I feel that it's a little bit different?"
Dominic Jiang will appear in the e-sports stadium? What does he look like?
However, he quickly forgot about this doubt and immersed himself in Dominic Jiang's operation.
Cameron Yan and Finn Lu had just finished collecting scriptures and were about to go back when they saw an acquaintance in another place. It wasn't that he had a good memory, but the man in tight pants really left a deep impression on him.
He quickly walked over to Dominic Jiang and informed him: "I saw the guys who beat you up last week."
Dominic Jiang pulled away his hand from his body: "I can see it."
Cameron Yan watched those people swaggering towards another company seat, and patted him on the back generously: "Don't be afraid, I brought people with me today."
After he finished speaking, he winked at Finn Lu and said, "Let's sit here."
After a while, Dominic Jiang glanced at the four extra people next to him, without any special reaction, and continued to stay in his seat to study how to pass the level.
"Which one do you want?" Cameron Yan bought a bag of drinks. Not knowing what flavor Dominic Jiang liked, he simply handed the bag to him and let him choose.
Dominic Jiang picked up a bottle of soda and placed it next to the keyboard, but he didn't open the bottle until the game was over.
Thanks to Dominic Jiang, Cameron Yan and Finn Lu were unstoppable this afternoon and cleared three levels in a row. Finn Lu also unexpectedly obtained a rare prop and showed off for a long time.
When Cameron Yan and the others finished, Dominic Jiang was still sitting in his seat. He had already changed to another game to play. Although Cameron Yan had never played this game, he could tell how good Dominic Jiang was from the constant success reminders on the screen.
"Don't you want to eat something?" It was almost seven o'clock and Cameron Yan's stomach growled on cue, while Dominic Jiang beside him seemed to have no intention of leaving.
Dominic Jiang's answer was still simple: "Yeah."
Finn Lu was so hungry that he urged Cameron Yan: "Are you going to leave or not? I'm starving to death."
Cameron Yan glanced at the people in society and felt that Dominic Jiang couldn't be left here alone, so he naturally invited him: "Would you like to join me? I'll treat you to barbecue."
Dominic Jiang followed his gaze and looked back: "They have just detained you for three days. You might as well worry about yourself instead of me."
Cameron Yan nodded: "That's good, we'll go first."
On the way to the restaurant, Finn Lu finally dared to ask the question he had been holding back for the whole afternoon: "When did you first meet Dominic Jiang?"
Cameron Yan briefly recounted what happened last week, omitting many details, and only said that Dominic Jiang got into trouble because he was good at playing games.
"You are so awesome. You even want to get involved in such things. What if you really get beaten up?" Finn Lu expressed his incomprehension of this purely stupid behavior, but when he thought about it being Cameron Yan, it was not so unacceptable.
It is probably hard to find anyone more generous and easier to get along with than Cameron Yan.
Anyway, if it were him, he would never take the initiative to do this, nor would he talk to Dominic Jiang in such a familiar way.
Although they had used some of Dominic Jiang's methods to pass the level, Finn Lu still couldn't develop much affection for Dominic Jiang. If he ranked them by getting along well, Cameron Yan would definitely be at the top of the list, and as for Dominic Jiang, he would definitely be at the bottom.
He had briefly formed a team with Dominic Jiang. His tough personality was simply fatal. He could make people speechless with just a few words from him. It was probably only Cameron Yan who could not take it to heart.
Cameron Yan thought about it and felt that Dominic Jiang’s personality was not as bad as they said. At least he spoke directly, which was not a bad shortcoming.
However, Cameron Yan did not visit the e-sports hall for the next month. He was busy with tutoring in the art studio, facing paints and sketch paper every day, and rarely even thought about games.
While practicing in the studio, he would occasionally think of Dominic Jiang, wondering if he had gone to the e-sports stadium again and whether he would be beaten up.
Until now, Cameron Yan still couldn't figure out why he thought of Dominic Jiang during the month he was in the studio. He had a lot of homework and painting skills to learn, and his schedule was so tight that he still managed to think of some irrelevant things.
However, there are many things that can be seen from the first meeting, such as Dominic Jiang's personality and his passion for games, so Cameron Yan was not too surprised to see that Dominic Jiang really set up a studio.
