She opened the photo album on her phone, but it was empty.

It was the wedding photo of her and Ethan Jiang that she had taken secretly. In the photo with a red background, Ethan Jiang's expression was very dull, while she was leaning towards Ethan Jiang, talking and laughing, with happiness in her eyes that was about to overflow.

She seems to really like Ethan Jiang.

It’s impossible to hide your love for someone. Her expression, tone of voice and the tilt of her body in the photo all clearly show that she likes Ethan Jiang very much.

But Ethan Jiang only likes her money.

In the evening, the orange-red sunset covered the sky, and the dusk gradually deepened, making the dead branches outside the window seem even more lonely.

Emily Fang came over and knocked on the door, "Li Li, come down for dinner."

The dinner was very sumptuous. Emily Fang said that the auntie who would cook tonight was Auntie Xie, Lydia Shu's favorite. She specially invited Auntie Xie back, hoping that she could help her recall the past through her taste buds. Lydia Shu politely called out "Hello, Auntie".

Aunt Xie looked at Lydia Shu with a look of pity: "Oh, you've lost a lot of weight than before."

Lydia Shu curled the corners of his mouth.

Aunt Xie squeezed Lydia Shu's arm, patted her shoulder lovingly, and said, "Xiao Li, you used to love the sweet and sour carp I made the most. You could eat it three times a week. I went to the market today and bought a big carp. Come and try it."

Lydia Shu was pushed to sit down.

Five dishes and a soup were placed on the table, as well as a bowl of Tremella soup specially made for Lydia Shu.

Her parents took turns serving food to her.

Soon, there was a small pile of food in her bowl. Emily Fang and Henry Shu treated her like a child and spoke to her in a coaxing tone.

I should give you a smile and be polite, Lydia Shu thought.

So she curled her lips and said, "Thank you."

The sweet and sour carp tasted sweet and sour, and her memory was briefly revived with the help of her taste buds. She said, "It's really delicious."

It’s quite different from Ethan Jiang’s craftsmanship.

Lydia Shu suddenly remembered the zucchini pancakes made by Ethan Jiang.

Ethan Jiang doesn't pay much attention to the appearance of his cooking. In fact, his zucchini pancakes are very delicious, but the shape of almost every piece is a messy "circle", with no aesthetic appeal at all. It gives people the same feeling as Ethan Jiang, simple and rough.

"Li Li? Li Li?"

Lydia Shu came back to his senses when he heard Emily Fang calling him.

Emily Fang asked: "What's wrong?"

Lydia Shu quickly said: "I am trying to recall the taste of this fish. Although I can't remember it, it is really delicious."

Emily Fang said with relief: "Fortunately, the taste has not been lost."

Lydia Shu smiled faintly.

After dinner, Emily Fang took out the family photo album and showed it to Lydia Shu one by one.

"This was when you were just born, you weighed 5.62 kg and cried so loudly. Your father outside heard you crying and tears came out all of a sudden. This is the photo your uncle took at that time. Look how your father cried." Emily Fang said with a smile.

Lydia Shu looked at it carefully.

"This was taken when you were just one month old. You were very pretty when you were born, with pink and tender skin and fair skin. The nurses and doctors praised you for your good looks, and people from the next ward came over to watch."

"Mom was so proud at that time."

"This is five years old. I have grown up so fast."

"Mom used to like buying you dresses and dressing you up like a little princess. You have so many dresses that you can never wear them all."

"You would also bring your classmates back and help them dress up. Li Li has been very kind since she was young."

"This was when you were eight years old. Your parents took you to France for a trip. At a dance party, a boy invited you to dance. You were wearing this tutu. You looked so cute."

"This is ten years old in Iceland..."

As the night wore on, Emily Fang had only seen half of the photos. He slowly closed the album and said to Lydia Shu, "Let's look at it tomorrow."

Lydia Shu unexpectedly held her mother's hand.

Emily Fang was stunned.

"I know I must have lived a happy life before. Thank you, Mom." Lydia Shu looked at her mother.

The problem is the love between her parents, but there seems to be no need to doubt their love for her.

Emily Fang's eyes suddenly became moist.

Lydia Shu was a little frustrated. "I just don't know when my memory will be restored."

Emily Fang placed her hand on Lydia Shu's and said with a sob: "Don't worry, take your time. It doesn't matter even if you can't remember. Mom and Dad will always be with you."

Lydia Shu nodded.

Returning to her room, she took a bath and went to bed. When she was about to turn off the lights, she remembered that she had not taken her bedtime medicine yet.

Because Ethan Jiang always remembered clearly and handed the water and medicine to her on time, Lydia Shu often forgot.

She took the medicine box out of her bag, took the medicine, then lay down on the bed, staring out the window in a daze.

I thought of Ethan Jiang again.

What is Ethan Jiang doing now?

Happy, sad or indifferent?

It probably doesn't matter, Lydia Shu guessed.

I shouldn't think about him, but I can't help it.

She didn't understand. What was there to think about a man with ordinary looks, dull personality, mediocre abilities, a heartless liar, a cold-blooded animal without any emotional fluctuations, a hooligan with so many crimes on his body who had the nerve to sleep in the same bed with her?

Lydia Shu closed his eyes.

It’s not worth it, she kept repeating in her mind, it’s not worth it.

The moonlight is warm and the shadows of the trees are swaying.

A gust of wind suddenly blew, blowing the dry branches, making a sharp and piercing sound on the window glass.

Lydia Shu woke up from a nightmare.

Her head was splitting with pain, so she raised her hand and touched it.

All sweat.

My forehead, behind my ears, my neck... were all covered in cold sweat.

She dreamed of a car accident. In the dream, she saw a car speeding in front of her, and then it crashed down fiercely. The sky and the earth roared, everything was broken, and she heard her own crying voice in the void: "Ayu, Ayu..."

I had that nightmare about the car accident again.

She needs Ethan Jiang.

She wanted to see Ethan Jiang immediately.

My heart was beating like a drum.

Another voice in my mind sounded: No, I can't see him, he is a bad guy.

The headache was so severe that the nerves in her brain were all twisted. Lydia Shu pressed her temples with both hands. She could clearly feel her body breaking out in cold sweats. In the end, the crying got the better of her. The person who was not sure if it was her, was in the car that was smashed into pieces, crying and saying, "Ayu, I'm scared."

Why do I miss him so much at this moment? Why do I need him so much at this moment? My parents are right next door.

The ceiling was crumbling and everything around her became unfamiliar. She grabbed her cell phone and fled in a panic. She didn't even put on her coat, ran downstairs, and rushed out.

She rushed out of the villa, out of the yard, and ran all the way outside.

The security guard called her from behind, but she didn't turn around.

This scene seemed to have appeared before, also in winter, also late at night with no one around, and also walking forward aimlessly like this.

Thinking of this, my head hurts even more.

She stopped at the entrance of the park. The north wind was howling and blowing into the wide collar of her pajamas. She belatedly realized that she was cold.

For some unknown reason, she dialed Ethan Jiang's number.

.

Ethan Jiang sat on the sofa.

The moonlight shone through the window, bringing some light.

He didn't turn on the light.

After Lydia Shu left, he sat there from two in the afternoon until late at night, like a stone statue that had been sitting there for years, motionless.

All his limbs were stiff and his blood was stagnant.

If his cell phone hadn't suddenly vibrated, he would probably have sat there until dawn.

Zizi, the phone vibrates again.

He received a message from Sophie Lu: [I sent it as you requested.]

He replied: [Thank you, Ms. Lu.]

Just as he put down his phone, Clara Ye called again. Ethan Jiang was stunned. As soon as he answered the phone, he heard a sigh: "You really know her well. You know that her first reaction is to find Sophie Lu to verify it."

Ethan Jiang didn't say anything.

"As you wished, she is back home now. What's next?"

Ethan Jiang rubbed his brows and said, "She should go to Qingyan Mountain again. I have already discussed it with my previous colleagues."

There was a long silence on the other end of the phone.

"Why are you doing this? Do you have to exit her life with such an image? Why do you want to push things to the extreme?"

"She's too tired."

"But you love each other so much, and love can overcome any difficulty."

Ethan Jiang said softly: "She obviously doesn't have to be so difficult."

Clara Ye said: "I am Li Li's friend, but I have to say something unpleasant, no matter how difficult it is, it is Li Li's own choice."

Ethan Jiang was silent.

Clara Ye was probably a little drunk, and her voice sounded hoarse: "Ethan Jiang, don't let me lie anymore and put those ugly words on you. I...I feel so uncomfortable."

She hung up the phone with a bang.

Ethan Jiang stared at the wooden floor not far away without moving.

After an unknown amount of time, the bell rang again.

This time it was Lydia Shu.

Ethan Jiang slowly picked up the phone and looked at the word "wife" on the screen in disbelief. He was not mistaken.

It’s true, wife.

Fearing that something might happen at night, he answered the call immediately.

At first there was no sound from the other side.

Ethan Jiang was afraid of scaring Lydia Shu, so he didn't dare to make a sound until he heard the sound of a car running and Lydia Shu's gasping breathing through the receiver, which sounded like she was crying.

She was not at home?

Ethan Jiang forgot all his disguises and asked subconsciously and anxiously: "Where are you now?"

Lydia Shu never said a word. She sent Ethan Jiang her location.

It only took Ethan Jiang twenty minutes to get here.

As soon as he got out of the car, he started taking off his coat. When Lydia Shu raised her head, Ethan Jianggang walked in front of her, put a thick and loose cotton coat on her, and wrapped her tightly.

Warmth comes over me.

Lydia Shu's lips turned white from the cold, but her eyes were still sparkling. She stared at Ethan Jiang, taking in all the changes in his expression, as if she wanted to see through him with her eyes.

The two people were in a stalemate.

Ethan Jiang opened his mouth and wanted to say something cold, but looking into Lydia Shu's eyes, he couldn't utter a word.

In front of Lydia Shu, he is always tongue-tied.

"Can we go back to the car first?"

As soon as his voice softened, Lydia Shu began to feel aggrieved.

I clearly hate him to death, but when I see him I still feel wronged and my nose is so sore. He thinks he has no future at all.

Tears gradually welled up in Lydia Shu's eyes.

Her face was pale, her lips had lost their color, her long hair was blown by the wind, and she curled up in Ethan Jiang's coat.

Like a vigilant little animal, staring at him stubbornly.

Ethan Jiang felt extremely distressed, and suddenly remembered Clara Ye's words: "Do you have to exit her life with such an image? Why push things to the extreme?"

I originally thought that I should be more ruthless.

His departure might make Lydia Shu shed a few tears temporarily, and there was nothing she could do about it, but when the time came, he realized that he would feel so heartbroken even if Lydia Shu only shed a few tears.

I couldn't utter a single harsh word.

He raised his hand and gently tucked a strand of Lydia Shu's hair that was messed up by the wind behind her ear, then asked, "Why are you not sleeping in the middle of the night and running here?"

Lydia Shu's eyelashes trembled and she opened her mouth blankly.

"It's too cold here, can we go back to the car first?"

Accustomed to Ethan Jiang's cold words, his sudden tenderness made Lydia Shu's tears, which had been hanging for a long time, fall unexpectedly, flowing down her cheeks and dripping onto Ethan Jiang's black cotton coat, leaving no trace.

Lydia Shu said, "Okay."

Neither of them mentioned what happened before, and with some tacit understanding, they indulged themselves at the same time.

Ethan Jiang helped Lydia Shu back to the car.

The hot air from the air conditioner blew towards Lydia Shu, blowing away the coldness from her body at maximum power.

Lydia Shu was still cold, so cold that his teeth were chattering.

"I'll find a convenience store and buy you some hot drinks."

Just as Ethan Jiang was about to get out of the car, Lydia Shu grabbed his sleeve.

She still grabbed the top of Ethan Jiang's sleeve, then clenched it hard and pulled him back with force.

This action overlaps with that three years ago.

Ethan Jiang's heart skipped a beat.

He looked at Lydia Shu in astonishment, trying to see the possibility of recovering his memory in Lydia Shu's tear-blurred eyes.

Unfortunately, Lydia Shu didn't recover her memory. She just took off her cotton coat and said stiffly, "Coat."

Ethan Jiang was only wearing a sweatshirt, but he didn't ask for a coat. He just said, "You wear it. I'll be back soon."
