On the 16th day of the first lunar month in the first year of the Zhengde reign, all lights in the capital were turned off.
Compared with the past, it is more lively outside Dong'anmen.
People were coming and going, and soldiers, lieutenants and runners were patrolling in teams, day and night.
The lantern makers shouted at all the lights, and the colorful lanterns were lit all day long. During the day, the whole street was still ablaze with candlelight, which was not as dazzling as the night, as bright as stars, but also enough to attract people's attention.
There is a one-meter-high revolving lantern in the city, painted with stories such as "Standing in the Snow at Poor Family" and "Rising up to Dance Upon Hearing the Crow Crow", which attracts more people to stop and take a look.
