Yang Yushi defended the city with his sword and performed great merits in repatriating the Tatar invaders. It was not surprising that he was summoned to the capital on the same day he returned from the northern border. However, he did not take a carriage but rode a horse instead, and drove a large cart across the East Market and went straight to Fengtian Gate, which really attracted a lot of attention.
