The carriage traveled all the way through East City.
Before reaching the sky, there were few people on the roadside.
Occasionally, there would be people in carriages and on foot passing by, but they were in a hurry and never stopped, eager to return home.
In the imperial city, the restaurants, teahouses, food shops and inns that should have been bustling had all closed their doors and bolted them early, no longer able to hear the hustle and bustle of the past.
The Qin-lou and Chu-guan, which were always lit at night, have also been devoid of wine and S3x, and the sound of people has disappeared. There is no more fragrant breeze blowing on the face, and no more waving. Only the faint light and shadows and the candlelight accompany.
