In the third monthly exam of the second year of high school, neither of them did a good job.
Alex Tang wanted to do it but couldn't. The higher he went in the ranking, the less room for improvement. He had been stuck in the range of 60 to 80 for a long time. This time, because he didn't have time to finish the additional math questions, he dropped directly to 95th in the science class.
Ethan Yin, on the other hand, was willing to do it but didn't want to. Seeing Alex Tang was so upset that he wanted to commit suicide because of his poor ranking, he said, "The additional questions this time are difficult and require knowledge of calculus. It's normal that you can't do them."
"Really?" Alex Tang felt a little comforted. He took Ethan Yin's test paper and looked at it. He collapsed again, "But you got all the additional questions right!"
Ethan Yin turned the test paper over and said, "I got several basic questions wrong."
