In the second semester of my sophomore year, when exams were approaching, my oldest student suddenly asked for leave. During the roll call, the teacher asked, "Why is this student absent so many times?"
The third child who chose the same course raised his hand: "His father is in the hospital due to heart disease, and he has to take care of the patient."
The teacher said "oh" and didn't pursue the matter any further. After class, he called the third child and told him: "Your roommate didn't attend classes enough. In principle, I should have failed him, but he has special circumstances, so I'll let him go this time. He must come for the final exam. Even if he does poorly, I'll turn a blind eye and let him pass."
"I will definitely pass on the message!" the third brother promised.
The eldest son was a local, and his sick father lived in the Third Municipal Hospital. That weekend, the three roommates went to the hospital to visit the eldest son's father and gave him his class notes so that he could review them well.
