That evening, dark clouds covered the sky, and snow flew down.
The heavy snow flickered, covering the sky and the earth, and the lights of thousands of families melted into the cold night. Lacey stared at the scene outside the window, muttering to herself: “I haven’t been home for a long time.”
Steaming meals filled the table. Mother gave Lacey a bowl of soup, and said with emotion: “Your father, I will talk about you every two days, for fear that you will suffer outside suffering. In the next two years, when Xia Xia wants to go home, Tell your parents, your parents will pay for your plane ticket.”
Lacey held the soup bowl: “Mom, I can buy my own ticket.”
“How much money is in Xia Xia’s small vault?” Dad asked.
