Lacey put away her mobile phone, turned on her desktop computer, and started working concentratingly.

She quickly browsed the arxiv (thesis preprint website) page and made sure that her research ideas did not collide with others. Then, she directly used LaTeX (thesis typesetting system) to write the abstract, background and framework of a paper.
