Jade took the initiative to extend a hand and introduce himself: "Hello, my name is Jade. I don't know if you still remember me. You once sponsored me. I always wanted to visit you to thank you but I didn't have the chance. Fortunately, Lily brought me here this time."
Jade's white and pure face was covered with a gentle and polite smile that he had rehearsed thousands of times beforehand. On the surface, he looked calm and composed, but in fact, his heart was already churning like a wave. Although he knew that there was no malice in Mr. Tan's sharp eyes, but it was just a habit formed over the years, Jade couldn't help but feel a little scared.
Time seemed to be stretched out in that brief stop, and every second of breathing seemed to be a struggle. Fortunately, Tan's father did not say much, just treating her as Claire's friend. He stretched out his hand and shook Jade, saying solemnly: "Hello, Xiao Sheng, welcome to drink and play."
Seeing Mr. and Mrs. Tan finally smile, Jade finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He handed the box in his hand to the two live-in nannies who followed him out. Claire held Jade's hand. Perhaps because he was too nervous, Jade's originally warm palms were covered with a layer of fine sweat, and his palms were cool. Claire quietly hooked his fingers around Jade's palms, and blinked his eyes at Jade with a doting and teasing look.
