Time passed quietly, second by second, and Claire looked at Jade nervously. In the golden light and shadow, her jaw was particularly sharp, and her scattered hair just covered her eyes. Claire could not see the look in her eyes.
Claire wasn't sure how to answer.
At least until now, she doesn't want to leave Jade.
She clenched her cold hands, slowly gathered a little courage, and was about to speak, when a faint laugh suddenly sounded in the stuffy car. Jade spoke before she could: "Sorry, I'm not in a good mood and my mind is not clear. Actually, what I want to ask is, am I your best friend?"
Jade did not continue to hold Claire to ask that difficult question, but Claire did not feel happy at all. A sour and swollen feeling surged in her heart, spreading to her internal organs. Claire covered her chest with one hand. She hated herself for not having the courage, but she was also a little glad that she did not really say it out loud. At least until now, Claire could not be sure whether Jade really liked her, and Jade even had a boyfriend.
