The Gate of Heaven took away Cynthia's soul, ending her fate of being tortured by Mephisto, and allowing Rogue and Doom to complete their established combat objectives.
However, after Cynthia's soul ascended to heaven, the three people present were reluctant to take the next step.
Mephisto did nothing. He never thought that Cynthia's redemption would actually lead to the gate of heaven.
This is hell, the place farthest from heaven, and the dimension that most repels the power of heaven.
Cynthia is just an ordinary person who has a little knowledge of magic. She is not even a magic apprentice.
