When Ethan Li entered the room, Tian Dian was lying on the bed sending text messages. When he saw him, he immediately jumped up and circled around him.

Ethan Li held the phone between his shoulders and listened to Noah Li's call.

Noah Li asked, "Brother, where are you working recently? Are you still working at that fried chicken shop?"

Ethan Li chose a north-facing corner of the living room, opened the folding table against the wall with one hand, tested its stability and then placed the computer on it.

"No, I moved to a new home."

"I just finished my exam this afternoon. Can I go play with you?" Noah Li's voice is softer than Ethan Li's. When she acts coquettishly, she can melt people's hearts.

Ethan Li didn't respond.

Noah Li was anxious: "Are you still angry with me? What I said last time was true. If you don't believe me, I will explain it to you again."

Ethan Li said: "No, I'm in a dim sum restaurant right now, it's quite busy there."

"Oh, really?" Noah Li was worried and hesitated before explaining his situation. "It's not that I don't want to tell you, it's just that it happened a few days ago so I didn't have time to tell you. Mainly, I don't think it's worth it."

"What's not worth it?" Ethan Li suddenly asked, "Is it the person or the thing?"

Noah Li was stunned: "It's not worth it at all."

After he said it, he felt something was wrong, and immediately polished it up: "Hey, I don't mean to say that he has any bad intentions. He is not bad. You saw him that day. He is handsome and very popular in our school. Many people like him, but he didn't want any of them. He only pursued me. It took me a while before I agreed to him." Although Noah Li has controlled his tone, he still can't hide a little pride, "He is very good to me."

"Just because he's handsome, has a lot of fans, and treats you well, can you fall in love with him?" Ethan Li asked.

His tone was not extreme, and was as calm as usual. However, to Noah Li at this moment, it sounded inexplicably harsh and inhuman, which did not sound like the brother who always had his way.

Noah Li blurted out: "Then brother, do you know what love is? Have you ever liked someone? Is there anyone who likes you?"

Ethan Li remained silent for a long while, then slowly turned his head to look at Tian Dian who was leaning towards him, and directly hung up the call.

Tian Dian, who was caught eavesdropping, smiled awkwardly, scratched his long curly hair that was messy like a bird's nest and changed the subject stiffly: "Hey, where did you get this computer? Did you buy it?"

"I picked it up." Ethan Li untied the rope and started to install it.

Although Ethan Li was skilled in packing and bundling, he seemed unfamiliar with this kind of electronic product. After hesitating for a long time, Tian Dian couldn't stand it anymore and spent a lot of time tinkering with him and finally finished it.

After successfully turning on the computer, Tian Dian couldn't help whistling as he looked at the S3xy and revealing desktop wallpaper, and immediately sat down with the mouse in hand.

"Wow, what brought you back with this?"

It's no wonder that Tian Dian was surprised. His roommate even bought a third-hand cell phone at a flea market, and there were almost no other electrical appliances in the rental house except for a refrigerator and lights. How could he be interested in such high-tech products?

Ethan Li looked at Tian Dian's excited look, glanced at his cell phone that was thrown aside and said, "I'm free."

"Are you free?"

"You are free."

Tian Dian was sometimes as thick-skinned as an antenna, but sometimes he was very sharp. He suddenly jumped up and hugged Ethan Li who was about to leave, and said with emotion: "You want to give me the computer, you know I just broke up and I am always crying, and I am bored at home during the day, so you brought it to me to entertain me, right? I know you treat me the best and love me the most."

Ethan Li broke free from his embrace in disgust: "Get out of here."

Tian Dian suddenly realized: "That's right, it's better to be addicted to the Internet than to be obsessed with Sc*mbags. I don't believe that if I can't find the perfect tall, rich and handsome man in the real world, I can find him in the virtual world!"

Ethan Li gave him an unreserved roll of the eyes.

Looking at the time, Ethan Li had to rush back to the city to work. The round trip would take him more than two hours. In fact, he could have picked it up after work.

Ethan Li quickly changed his sweat-soaked T-shirt, washed his face and was about to leave, but when he was about to close the door, Tian Dian stopped him.

"chestnut"

Tian Dian's voice suddenly lost its playful tone and was replaced by a deep and serious tone that suited his gender.

"He's wrong. You will fall in love and be loved. Because besides me, there will always be someone who knows how great a good Li Zi is."

Ethan Li turned around to look at the man with a head full of messy hair, dragging a bench and sitting there playing Solitaire seriously, curled his lips, and closed the door silently.

********

Liam Wang guessed correctly, Ethan Li was also a college student.

Li Eryang was right. The university that Ethan Li attended was indeed inferior, even not up to standard, not to mention compared with the glittering A University. The two were simply worlds apart.

Ethan Li only teaches a few classes throughout the year. According to his father, his eldest son is self-destructive due to inferiority complex. Knowing that his future is bleak, he simply doesn't even bother to have hope. He spends every day without motivation. Although he seems to be busy, he actually just takes it one day at a time.

This may sound harsh, but it is not just one side's opinion. For example, when Ethan Li returned to school for the last time before the holiday, he did not receive a friendly attitude from his classmates whom he had not seen for a long time.

"People with such low attendance as him passed the exam, so why did he fail us? Did this teacher take money from someone?"

Knowing that Ethan Li was in front of him, the foul voice did not soften at all, and it was obvious that he was speaking to him.

"If you want to collect money, you have to have people pay for it. Some people look so poor, what can they pay for it with?"

"Eh? You don't understand this. Don't you read the news? There are many things that students can trade these days, regardless of gender."

As soon as these words were spoken, a series of perverse sneers rang out, hitting the back of the head of Ethan Li who was passing by.

Ethan Li paused and turned around.

There were both men and women in the group, and the leader was a boy who was actually about the same height as Ethan Li, but his head was a little bigger and he looked a little short and stout.

Noticing Ethan Li's gaze, the other party puffed out his chest and said unhappily: "What are you looking at?"

As soon as he finished speaking, he saw Ethan Li walking towards him without dodging.

The boy was startled: "What do you want to do?"

Ethan Li stood in front of him and glanced at the faces of several people. Although he was looking at them at eye level, he somehow made the other person feel that he was looking down on them.

"Nowadays, there are indeed many people who can make money through trading with special skills," Ethan Li said, "relying on looks, strength, and brains. But if you can rely on being a Sl*t, you should be one of the best."

Ethan Li's tone was very calm, but the boy became furious and shouted, "What the hell did you say?! We haven't settled our old scores yet."

"Do you want to count it?" Ethan Li asked seriously, facing the murderous gaze.

Seeing the tense atmosphere, someone nearby gave in and pulled the leading boy and said, "Connor Cheng, you can't make trouble here. We'll talk about it later."

The boy named Connor Cheng was unwilling to give up easily. Instead, he pointed at Ethan Li provocatively and said, "You should tell him this. I don't believe this boy dares to do anything in school---"

"---boom!"

Before he could finish his words, there was a loud Max Zhao. Connor Cheng turned around in shock and saw that the stainless steel trash can next to him, which was several centimeters thick, was dented in half in the middle, and the brand new paint was peeling off in whole pieces. The buzzing sound of the collision of the hard objects echoed in Connor Cheng's ears for a long time.

Ethan Li calmly retracted his kicking leg, with a questioning look in his eyes, as if asking, "What next?"

They were at the back of the teaching building, and their noise wandering in the empty little garden naturally attracted attention. They noticed that some classmates and teachers on the third floor had already stuck their heads out to look in, and some of the provocative guys started to get scared.

"Ethan Li, don't be so arrogant. You will suffer sooner or later."

After saying this, several people dragged Connor Cheng, who was obviously upset, and walked away, cursing as they walked: "I told you not to mess with him, he is a lunatic! He is not afraid of being expelled from school!"

Ethan Li was in no mood to listen to their arguments. He looked at his watch, got on his broken electric bike and headed for A University again. To be more precise, he headed for the library of A University.

He knew the place very well, partly because he needed to work, and partly because Ethan Li's own school was too simple, so whenever he needed some information or reference books, A-tu was his best choice. For this reason, he borrowed a student ID from a student there, so that he could enter and leave the place freely.

With many students of A University having finished their exams, the A Building, which used to be crowded, was finally much quieter. Ethan Li strolled leisurely on the floors that used to be the most crowded, and carefully browsed the bookshelves. When he unexpectedly found his target, a glimmer of surprise flashed on his gloomy face, illuminating his entire appearance, but it was only for a moment before the brightness disappeared again and he returned to his usual gloom.

Ethan Li borrowed the book, held it carefully in his arms and walked out. He was wondering whether it would be safer to take it back to the store to store it or send it directly to the rental house. When he looked up, he saw a familiar face.

"Brother? Why are you here?"

The person who came was his younger brother Noah Li, and standing next to Noah Li was the boy from the same school whom he had bumped into in the backyard of Li's house a few days ago, who was also the person Noah Li was currently dating.

Noah Li had not contacted Ethan Li since the awkward phone call, and he couldn't help but apologize when he suddenly met him. However, it was not a good opportunity to explain, so he could only vaguely point to the person on the side and introduce him: "Well, brother, his name is Leo Wang, my classmate."

After saying that, he seemed to be afraid that the topic would continue, so he quickly asked: "Brother, why are you here? Are you here to deliver something?"

"Huh? Isn't this the book for our major?" the boy named Leo Wang suddenly interrupted.

Noah Li then noticed what Ethan Li was holding in his arms, and was very surprised when he saw it: "Brother, are you here to borrow books? Why do you want to borrow books about our major? And they are in the original language, I can't understand them."

Ethan Li said "Oh", turned the book over and held it: "I need it for work."

"I need this when I work, it's so powerful." Noah Li exclaimed.

"Why are you here?" it was Ethan Li's turn to ask him.

"I forgot to tell you that I'm doing a project at the Institute of Computer Science at University A. I've applied for a summer internship for the second year in a row, and I finally got it this time!" Noah Li was very happy when he mentioned this. "There are so many awesome people here, it's amazing. Oh, by the way, I'm also going to invite a few seniors from our group to dinner, where are they?"

Noah Li turned around in surprise, and saw several seniors from the research institute who were originally walking together now following him slowly, especially the two girls, who looked back as they walked, laughing from time to time, and it took them a while to come closer.

"Senior, senior, what are you looking at?" Noah Li came forward and asked obediently.

"Look at the handsome guy!" The senior student said with a blushing face, "Adrian Fang."

"Ah? Who is Adrian Fang?" Noah Li asked again.

"You don't even know Adrian Fang?" The senior student couldn't believe it. After she finished speaking, she remembered something and gently tapped the head of the person in front of her, "I forgot that you are new here. However, if you want to do well here during the vacation, you must know him. He is the top star of our School of Computer Science."
