Ibrahim was born into a wealthy family.
His grandfather and father were both well-known local businessmen. His mother is the youngest of his father's four wives. Likewise, Ibrahim was the youngest son in the family. He had eleven brothers and more sisters.
Before the age of six, Ibrahim had been studying with his father's friend, the wise man in the oasis.
In the learning process, Ibrahim showed extraordinary talent. He could remember every word taught by wise men and write down every passage of scripture he read. He even copied nautical charts handed down from his great-grandfather's time.
Ibrahim's extraordinary wisdom attracted his father's attention. In just four years from the age of six to ten, he mastered the navigation knowledge accumulated by his family for generations and began to learn his father's most valuable business experience.
