Nolan Meng and his party left Pingxiang and passed through Taiping Prefecture, Nanning Prefecture, Sien Prefecture, Liuzhou Prefecture, and Guilin Prefecture, all the way north.
When passing Guilin Prefecture, the group transferred to an official ship and sailed along the river, encountering several large flat-headed ships one after another. There are no official or military flags on the side of the ship, so we know it is a ship for merchants to transport goods.
When Meng Qing and Zhu Neng's official ship passed by, the boatmen on the big ship saw it and immediately gave way.
The river is wide, so it doesn't have to be like this, but with the official flag and the border troops standing on the bow of the ship, even if they are just making a show, they have to get out of the way.
Looking at the flags fluttering in the wind, the businessmen were guessing that the people on the official ship must have a high profile.
