When you walk into the palace, what you see are all carved beams and painted buildings, resplendent in beauty.
The Forbidden City has not yet been built. The Yanwang Mansion, which was rebuilt from the inner palace of the Yuan Dynasty, is the largest and highest-level building in Beiping City.
The palace was built in the twelfth year of Hongwu and has three halls. The Chengyun Hall was the main place where King Yan received officials and conducted business. Behind it is the Circular Hall, and after the Circular Hall is the Cunxin Hall. From the two halls of Chengyun to the Chengyun Gate, there are two rows of corridors, with a total of 138 wing rooms.
Behind the palace are the front, middle and back palaces, each with nine palace rooms. There are wing rooms on both sides of the palace gate for the residence of everyone in the palace below King Yan.
According to the palace system of the Ming Dynasty, the gates and verandas of Prince Yan's Mansion were all covered with blue glazed tiles, and the roofs of each palace were decorated with a dragonfly, decorated with gold, and eight auspicious flowers on the sides. The seats in the front and back halls are decorated with red paint and gold medallions, and the hanging curtains are made of red pins and gold medallions.
