Linsheng was a scholar who passed the academy examination. He received six dou of food every month and fish and meat from the company. Every once in a while, the school will evaluate the students through examinations and daily results, and they will be divided into six grades. Only first- and second-grade students can continue the provincial examination, and those below third grade cannot even enter the examination room.
