Looking in the mirror, Mason smiled. He didn't remember when he bought this white college-style sweater, but he rarely wore it. He put on a light khaki half-length horn button coat and paired it with light-colored jeans. He looked like he was pretending to be young. It would have been the same if he had worn this when he was a freshman.

After saying goodbye to Zhou Hui, Mason took a bag of garbage and went out.

As soon as he reached the door of the building, he felt a gust of cold wind. Mason shivered and quickly put on his hat.

Strangely enough, when he threw the garbage into the trash can, the black cat that had always ignored him actually came to his feet. Mason squatted down to look at it, and the black cat only shrank its neck, but did not retreat. I thought it was hungry and came to ask for food, but Mason took a look and found that it didn't lose weight at all, but got a little fatter.

"It's delicious."

Just after muttering this, Mason heard the sound of a bicycle braking. He looked up and saw Noah whom he hadn't seen for a long time.

He was only wearing a thin sportswear.

"Aren't you cold wearing so little?"

Mason stood up and walked towards him with a smile.

When he saw him, Noah had already quickly pulled out the earphones in his ears.

"not cold."

"Youth and strength don't work this way," Mason looked at his red hands and ears from the cold, "I had frozen ears when I was a kid, it was really uncomfortable, and it's easy to get frozen in winter. If you ride a bike, you should buy a pair of gloves, and it's better to cover your head."

Noah listened and nodded.

The two of them didn't say anything more, and the black cat meowed at this moment. Noah got out of the car and climbed up the ladder.

"Bought it food?"

The plastic bag in the supermarket was translucent, and Mason could vaguely tell that it contained sausage.

"Well, it's quite picky. It won't eat the cat food I bought it before, but it only eats this kind of ham sausage." Noah said as he opened the bag in his hand, but perhaps because he was too hasty and forceful when pulling the earphones, the earphone wires had become tangled with the plastic bag. Noah bent his red fingers to pick them, but he was clumsy and didn't seem to know how to do it, and couldn't figure out the pattern of their entanglement.

"I come."

Mason reached out and took the two things from him.

With just a few gentle touches, the separation was complete.

Noah took the bag from him, squatted down and fed the cat without saying a word.

"Do you want to go out?"

"Well, go to my uncle's house."

The black cat sang happily while eating. Noah didn't know what to say to Mason who was standing beside him, so he could only pretend to watch the little black thing eat absentmindedly.

A hand stretched out in front of him - the index finger and thumb were pinching the white headphone wire that was neatly wrapped into a circle, and the remaining three fingers were loosely clenched.

Noah followed the hand and looked at Mason. He was still wearing a hat, squatting beside him, also looking at him. Noah then realized belatedly why he thought Mason looked particularly good today.

He was dressed very differently today, and looked very young. Moreover, the hood of this coat was very large, covering half of his forehead, leaving only his eyebrows. In this situation, the edge of the hood seemed to draw a highlight line for his eyes. When Mason smiled, his eyes were curved.

"Do you feed him every day?"

Mason suddenly spoke, interrupting Noah's observation of his eyes.

"Almost," Noah lowered his head to hide his thoughts, "I'll feed him as soon as I come back."

Mason: "No wonder, she looks so good."

Although Noah had been expecting the black cat to eat a little longer, the black cat obviously did not understand his expectations. As usual, the two sausages were quickly finished by it. Before running away, it tilted its head and meowed at Noah, as if it was reserving tomorrow's meal.

It finished eating, and Mason said he was leaving. Noah silently crumpled the plastic bag in his hand and threw it into a nearby trash can.

Xu Tangben had already walked forward for a distance with his hands in his pockets when he suddenly remembered the matter of independent enrollment.

"Noah." he called out.

When he turned around, he found that Noah had not moved at all, but was standing there, looking at him.

He didn't know if it was because of the night or the cold wind, but he remembered Noah's look for many years, so much so that every time he thought of it, he was eager to see the boy smile.

There is no expectation, or even any waiting, only a quiet and silent loneliness.

He suddenly thought of the black cat that had been looking at him eagerly just now.

"Did you have meal?"

Maybe people and cats will really become similar if they get along for a long time.

Mason changed the subject of his conversation because he suddenly couldn't bear to leave Noah, who was looking at him like this, in the gradually darkening night.

A few steps away, Noah blinked, as if he didn't expect him to suddenly ask him this.

"You haven't eaten yet? Come on, I'll treat you to a meal."

Mason saw a little light in Noah's eyes, but he was still hesitant.

"Aren't you going to your uncle's house?"

"I didn't tell them I was going anyway, so let's eat something and then I'll go over."

At that time, smartphones were just beginning to emerge, and they could not find ideas for meals from apps, but could only think of good restaurants in their memory. Mason was afraid that Noah would feel embarrassed, so he recommended a few good places and let Noah choose. He wanted to treat him to a good meal, but he didn't expect Noah to say, "I want to eat noodles."

"noodle?"

"There's a noodle shop nearby, Master Wang," Noah raised his hand and pointed in a direction, "It's on the street at the second intersection ahead."

Mason reminisced for a moment and remembered this noodle shop he often went to when he was in high school.

"Ah, that one, I haven't been there for a long time, is it still open?"
