The three people who claimed to have seen the murderer have been interrogated.

The word interrogation was the definition given by Mason Yang to the communication between Ethan Shen and the three of them. To be precise, none of the communication between these people and Ethan Shen should be considered an interrogation, because they had no solid evidence to prove their guilt, and they were brought in as witnesses.
