"That's enough gossip. Maybe I should have asked a straightforward question." Braylen Lin said slowly, "Which country are you a spy from?"

"They arrested me but they don't know which country I am from. You must be arresting me randomly without any basis, sir." Daxton Xu laughed again.

"Heh." Braylen Lin's face was cold, and he raised his chin at the guard beside him.

The guard's expression was very ugly. Seeing Braylen Lin's actions, he quickly went to get a silver-white suitcase and placed it on the table in the interrogation room.

The suitcase was opened in front of Daxton Xu, and there were several suspicious green potions lying inside.

"This was found from you when we arrested you." Braylen Lin said coldly, "Do you think this is evidence?"

"Perhaps you should know that there is a word called 'stealing the sky to change the sun'." Daxton Xu raised his finger and tapped the table, "How can you be so sure that it must be mine?"

"f**k." The guard was irritated by his attitude, "Don't think you can be so arrogant because you were once Chief Linming's boss!"

"That's really sorry." Daxton Xu said with a smile. Sure enough, anger will always make people speak without hesitation. With just this sentence, Daxton Xu revealed his identity.

In the original book, the boss of the villain Braylen Lin is the protagonist. After discovering that his subordinate intended to release a virus, the protagonist immediately arrested him and interrogated him personally.

Then the question returns to the reversal of the positions of the protagonist and the villain. What happened and led to the change of the original plot.

"Tsk, it's boring." Daxton Xu tapped the table and tried to repeat the same trick, "Let me tell you, you only have this kind of tolerance..."

Before he could finish his words, the tiger chair was kicked to the ground. Daxton Xu's body came into close contact with the rough ground. His head hit the ground, and blood poured out from the breach, instantly staining the ground.

Daxton Xu was so dizzy from the fall that his vision was black and white, and he couldn't react for a long time.

"It seems you don't want to let a suspect become so arrogant." Braylen Lin retracted his foot. He was the one who kicked Daxton Xu's chair just now.

"Remember, there is more than one way to make people tell the truth." After saying this, Braylen Lin didn't even bother to look at Daxton Xu on the ground, turned around and walked towards the interrogation room.

Before anyone could reach the door, the iron door was opened from the outside and a head poked in. After seeing Braylen Lin, the man quickly gave a straight military salute.

"Sir, the people above are looking for you for a meeting."

Daxton Xu's eyes looked unfocused at the two figures leaving the iron gate, and his consciousness gradually collapsed.

When he woke up again, he was still in a dark interrogation room, but this time the person sitting in front of him was a woman in military uniform.

Seeing the person wake up, the woman picked up a stack of documents on the table and said coldly.

"After Chief Lin's examination and various evidences, the suspect Daxton Xu has not committed the crime of releasing the virus. However, based on his unclear personal motives and multiple considerations, the final treatment of the suspect is..."

The woman raised her glasses, which reflected a pale light, and continued.

"He will be immediately expelled from the Fire Sanctuary and will never be eligible for shelter in any of its branches."

As the woman's voice fell, the interrogation room fell silent. The guards looked at me and I looked at you, shuddering in their hearts.

This may seem like a generous approach, but it is actually extremely cruel, especially in the post-apocalyptic world. Throwing a powerless person out like this undoubtedly declares that person's death.

However, what no one expected was that after a moment of silence, the person involved did not respond at all, and even asked questions indifferently.

"That's it?"

"What do you mean?" The woman frowned.

"It's nothing." Daxton Xu shrugged, "If you want to banish me, then go ahead."

The woman's eyes were suspicious. The suspect's attitude towards the expulsion was too indifferent, so she had to think more.

"What are you waiting for? Didn't you say 'immediately'?" Daxton Xu urged.

"Yes, immediately, but not now."

The door opened again, and Braylen Lin strode in. At this time, his face was frighteningly dark, and he had no idea what was said in the meeting just now.

"Sir." The woman quickly stood up and gave a military salute.

Braylen Lin didn't even look at her. His eyes fell on Daxton Xu's face, and he slowly raised a disdainful smile.

"You were meant to die here. Good luck to you. The people above thought you were a meritorious deed, and finally decided to banish you." Braylen Lin walked up to him and looked at him, "But, I want you Take your virus with you."

"What do you mean?" Daxton Xu frowned. This plot was clearly not in the original book. He remembered that Braylen Lin was expelled directly.

"What do you mean?" Braylen Lin clapped his hands, and a man in white clothes walked out behind him, holding a syringe in his hand.

Braylen Lin raised his chin. The man in white clothes immediately understood. He walked towards Daxton Xu with a syringe and said softly.

"It will be less painful if you don't move around."

Several guards rushed forward to hold Daxton Xu down, but the struggle of the thin young man had no effect at all. Daxton Xu could only watch helplessly as the medicine was injected into his body, and then an irresistible burning pain spread throughout his body starting from the eye of the needle.

His body soon began to tremble uncontrollably due to pain. He stared at the man standing upright and suddenly saw the sneer on his lips.

As if he noticed Daxton Xu looking at him, Braylen Lin opened his mouth and made an imperceptible gesture. But Daxton Xu knew what he was talking about. He was saying: You owe me this.

At the end of his consciousness, Daxton Xu had only one thought in his mind - I just came here, what can I owe you?

...

I don't know how much time passed, but "tick-tock------" a drop of rain hit the young man's eyelids. The young man's brows moved slightly, and he slowly pulled his consciousness out of the mire.
