With the war between the north and the south, all domestic attention focused on Anhui.

Following Han Anshan, Yuan Baoshan from Henan and Song Qining from Hubei also sent troops respectively. The Lu army besieged Suzhou, the Henan army occupied Bozhou, and the Hubei army fought all the way to Anqing.

Suddenly, smoke was everywhere.

The main force of the Anhui army was mostly the Green Camp soldiers from the former Qing uprising. After Song Zhou occupied Anhui, he transferred some middle- and lower-level officers from the Jiangsu and Zhejiang armies to supplement them.
