When watching Three Kingdoms, I am always excited to see the duels. But when I saw the two armies beating their drums like thunder, their flags covering the sky, the two generals clapped their horses, and they fought together with swords and guns, it was really hearty. When playing the Three Kingdoms game, once you have the opportunity to challenge the enemy one-on-one, it will be the climax of the battle. The most exciting thing for me was when I played Three Kingdoms Seven with Zhao Yun and Daxton Lu. In the last round, I picked up Daxton Lu with a move flying all over the sky. The excitement was indescribable.

But to be honest, people during the Three Kingdoms period were not idiots. How could there be so many one-on-one fights? In fact, the Three Kingdoms originated from drama, and the drama pays great attention to the individual battles between generals, but this may not necessarily be the case. There are almost no such thrilling duels in history as in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms". Among the famous generals of the past dynasties, Meng Tian, Bai Qi, Li Mu, and Wei Qing, how many are good at single combat? After all, the first requirement for a general is command ability.

The one-on-one battles in the novel, such as the three heroes Daxton Lu, Ma Chao and Hu Chi are all fictional. The only real scene was when Guan Yu killed Yan Liang, but that was far from historical. The story goes like this: Cao Cao and Yan Liang faced off. After forming an array, Guan Yu succeeded in a surprise attack. But in history, Zhang Liao and Guan Yu led their cavalry to rescue Baima, and encountered Yan Liang on the way. The specifics are as follows: "On the mountain, Yu saw a good commanding officer, and he rode his horse to spur Liang into the midst of thousands of troops."

Generally speaking, riding a horse does not require a chariot, so Yan Liang may have been sitting on a chariot. My personal opinion is that it is really hard to win.

Zhang Fei and Guan Yu are indeed famous for their bravery, and their ability in single combat is historically strong, while Ma Chao "arrogates that he has many abilities".

He is also a fierce general. However, there is no mention of Zhao Yun and Huang Zhong in the history books, but these two people are "strong and fierce, and they work together as minions", so they are undoubtedly fierce generals. Daxton Lu's one-on-one ability doesn't seem to be mentioned much, but his shots are always on target, which is extremely scary. He once cut off the rear alone, and "no one dared to approach hundreds of Yan generals."

As for Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun's duel was actually terrible. Dian Wei Xu Chu's bravery is true, but he is blind in military use, so he cannot become the chief general. Among Cao Cao's five tiger generals, Zhang Liao, Zhang He, and Xu Huang are all famous for their bravery, which shows that they are very powerful in single combat. Le Jin is "courageous and courageous", so courageous, but he doesn't know how to fight in a one-on-one match. Yu Jin is even less clear.

In fact, the most powerful one under Cao Cao was Cao Ren. Not many people may know this.

When Zhou Lang attacked Nanjun, he was besieged by three powerful generals: Jiang Qin, Xu Sheng, and Ding Feng. Cao Ren sent Niu Jin out and was surrounded. Cao Ren personally put on his armor and led a hundred cavalry straight into the enemy formation to rescue Niu Jin. He single-handedly defeated the three fierce generals of Soochow.

Chen Jiao said: "The general is a man of heaven!" It is indeed extraordinary. Moreover, Cao Ren's cavalry commanding ability is quite astonishing. His generals are definitely superior to Xiahou Dun, and he is ranked first in the Cao Group. It's a pity that Lao Luo was biased and wrote him as an idiot. There is a sentence in the annotation of "Three Kingdoms": "The bravery of Cao Da Sima, Meng Ben, Xia Yufu and Yan. ... In terms of his bravery, benevolence is the first, followed by Zhang Liao." This is roughly the case.

Finally, I would like to mention that the Changban Incident, which has been rumored to be very mysterious, is actually mostly fictional... The history books only say that Zhao Yun was the queen, but there is no record of any fighting. With the relationship between Chen Shou's father and Zhao Yun so close, if there was a specific fight, it would be vivid and realistic, but unfortunately there was not.

Moreover, everyone should remember that when Zhao Yun left Qishan in 227, he "reached seventy and killed five generals", and he was already seventy. And longboarding was in 207 AD... You can calculate how old Zhao Yun was when he was longboarding.
