This is a three-story wooden building with a yard.

The small wooden building is an inn.

The first floor is the lobby and kitchen, where merchants traveling north and south can rest and eat; the second and third floors, the eastern half of which are guest rooms for guests to rest, and the western half are the rooms for the store owner and his employees.

Because this inn is located at a strategic point for travel between the north and the south, it has been packed every day for the three years that the owner has run it.

A couple who made a lot of money planned to hire a carpenter to build another floor during the fourth year of Chinese New Year. This would expand their business to accommodate more customers and also celebrate the birth of their third child.
